Pac-12 holds top 3 spots in CBI Composite Poll (4/22)

The Pac-12 controls the top three places in the latest CBI Composite Poll.

UCLA had a 3-1 week, including a series win over Cal. to remain the unanimous No. 1. The Bruins are first in all six national polls.

Stanford also had a 3-1 week, with a three-game sweep at Oregon, to rise one spot to second. The Cardinal are second in three polls and third in the other three.

Oregon State had a three-game sweep of Arizona and climbed one place to third. The Beavers are second in three polls, third in two polls and fourth in the other.

Georgia went 4-0 at home, with a win over Clemson and a three-game SEC sweep of Missouri, to bump up one spot to fourth. The Bulldogs are third in one poll, fourth in three polls and fifth in the other two.

Vanderbilt also had a 4-0 week, including a three-game SEC sweep at Alabama, to move up one place to fifth. The Commodores are fourth in two polls and fifth in the other four.

Arkansas had the most impressive week, going 4-0 with a three-game SEC sweep of second-ranked Mississippi State, to climb five spots to sixth.

West Virginia and Oklahoma State entered the poll this week, while Big 12 brethren Baylor and TCU dropped out.

There are seven teams from the SEC in this week’s poll. There are four teams from both the ACC and Pac-12. There are three teams from the Big 12 and single entries from the American and Big West.
