Following a 5-0 week, LSU maintains the top spot in the latest CBI Composite Poll.

The Tigers posted victories over Kent State, Nicholls, Indiana, Notre Dame and UCF. LSU is first in three of the national polls and second in the other two.

UCLA went 4-0 to remain in second. The Bruins topped Tulane and swept a three-game home series from eighth-ranked TCU. UCLA is first in two polls, second in two polls and third in the other.

Georgia Tech had a 4-0 week to stay in third. The Yellow Jackets swept a four-game home series from Stony Brook. GT is second in one poll, fourth in three polls and fifth in the other.

Texas went 4-0 to bump up one place to fourth. The Longhorns beat Lamar and swept a three-game home set from Michigan State. UT is third in three polls and sixth in the other two.

Mississippi State had a 5-0 week and moved down one spot to fifth. The Bulldogs defeated Troy and Alcorn State before sweeping three games from Delaware. MSU is third in one poll, fourth in one poll and fifth in the other three.

Miami (Fla.) moved into the CBI Composite Poll, while TCU dropped out.

There are nine teams from the SEC in this week’s CBI Composite Poll, including eight in the top 11 spots. There are seven teams from the ACC, two from the Sun Belt, one from the Big 10 and one independent.
