Fayetteville Super Regional – won by NC State
NC State 3, No. 1 Arkansas 2 (box score)
Jose Torres hit a solo homer in the top of the ninth inning to break a 2-2 tie as NC State stunned Arkansas, the No. 1 national seed, and eliminated the Razorbacks to advance to the College World Series. Jonny Butler hit a two-run homer to give the Wolfpack a 2-1 lead in the third inning, a lead that would hold until Cayden Wallace (2 for 4) hit a solo homer to left field in the seventh inning for Arkansas (50-13). The trio of Matt Willadsen (4 IP, 2 H, 1 unearned run, 4 K, Chris Villaman (3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 3 K) and Evan Justice (5-2, 2 IP, 0 H, 2 K) combined to limit the potent Razorbacks offense to just four hits. Kevin Kopps (12-1), making his first start of the season, was brilliant and worked eight-plus innings with seven hits, three earned runs and nine strikeouts for the Razorbacks. NC State (35-18) advances to Omaha for the third time in program history and first time since 2013.
Austin Super Regional – won by No. 2 Texas
No. 2 Texas 12, USF 4 (box score)
Trey Faltine had two doubles, scored twice and knocked in three as UT topped USF to advance to the College World Series. Faltine had an RBI double and scored the go-ahead run in a four-run second before his two-run double an inning later put the Longhorns (47-15) on top 6-2. Mike Antico went 2 for 4 with two walks, two runs and two RBI for UT. Tristan Stevens (11-3, 5.2 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 3 K) recorded the win. Jarrett Eaton went 3 for 3 with two runs and two RBI for the Bulls (31-30).
Tucson Super Regional – won by No. 5 Arizona
No. 5 Arizona 16, No. 12 Ole Miss 3 (box score)
Branden Boissiere has a bases-clearing double to highlight a seven-run fourth as Arizona overwhelmed Ole Miss to earn a spot in Omaha. Boissiere went 4 for 6 with three runs and five RBI, while Jacob Berry (2 for 4, 2B, HR, 3 R) drove in four for the Wildcats (45-16). TJ Nichols (6-3) worked 5.1 innings in relief with three hits, one run, one walk and seven strikeouts to earn the win. Jacob Gonzalez homered for the Rebels (45-22).
Knoxville Super Regional – won by No. 3 Tennessee
No. 3 Tennessee 15, LSU 6 (box score)
Jake Rucker (3 for 5, 4 RBI) hit two of his team’s six home runs as UT swept LSU to reach the College World Series for the fifth time and first since 2005. It marked the final game in the Hall of Fame career of LSU head coach Paul Mainieri. The Volunteers (50-16) led 5-2 after four before putting up six in the fifth. Connor Pavolony (2 for 5, 2B, HR, 3 R) and Jordan Beck (3 for 5, HR, 2 R) both knocked in three for UT. Dylan Crews had two dingers for the Tigers (38-25).
Starkville Super Regional
No. 10 Notre Dame 9, No. 7 Mississippi State 1 (box score)
Aidan Tyrell allowed one run over 7.1 innings as ND won at MSU to level the series at one game apiece. Tyrell (5-1) gave up five hits and three walks with six strikeouts. David LaManna had a three-run homer in the fourth while Jack Brannigan added a two-run dinger in the sixth for the Irish (34-12). Rowdey Jordan tripled and scored in the first for the Bulldogs (44-16).
Columbia Super Regional
Virginia 4, Dallas Baptist 0 (box score)
Griff McGarry and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout, while Zack Gelof and Alex Tappen both homered in the bottom of the eighth as UVA topped DBU to force a deciding game on Monday at 1 pm ET. McGarry fanned 10 in 7.0 innings with two hits and three walks before leaving in the eighth with a bloody finger. Brandon Neeck (2-0) allowed one hit and struck out one in one inning to pick up the win. Kyle Whitten fanned two and left the bases full to end the game and secure the victory. Gelof snapped a scoreless tie with a leadoff homer in the eighth for the Cavaliers (34-25). Tappen (2 for 3) belted a three-run dinger later in the frame with two away. Andrew Benefield went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk for the Patriots (41-17).
