In Phoenix, Ryan Hingst tossed the 10th no-hitter in program history as Arizona State downed Utah to level their Pac-12 series. Hingst (3-0) walked three and struck out a career-high nine. It was the first start of the season and first career Pac-12 start for the sophomore right-hander. Andrew Snow went 3 for 5 with a double and a run, while Brian Serven had two hits, including a triple, and two runs for the Sun Devils (1-4, 14-8). Kody Davis, Max Schuman and AJ Young each drew walks for the Utes (3-2, 7-13).

In Louisville, Ky., Matt Thaiss and Pavin Smith both belted three-run homers as Virginia took Game 1 of its ACC series at Louisville. The three-run shot by Thaiss (2 for 5) in the third gave the Cavaliers (5-2, 17-6) a 3-1 lead. After the Cards (4-3, 17-5) cut it to one, Smith (2 for 3) went deep to give the visitors a 6-2 advantage. Connor Jones (5-0, 7.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K) earned the victory, while Alex Bettinger (1 IP, H, K) recorded his seventh save. Corey Ray doubled and drove in two for UL. Kyle Funkhouser (2-2, 6.1 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 4 BB, 5 K) took the loss.

In College Station, Texas, Alex Lange struck out 11 in 6.1 innings, an Greg Deichmann scored on a hard grounder by Kramer Robertson that was misplayed in the infield in the ninth inning as LSU evened its SEC series with Texas A&M. Cole Gilbert (3-1) picked up the win for the Tigers (2-3, 16-6); Lange worked into the seventh, allowing two earned runs with five hits and six walks. Cole Freeman had two hits and two runs for LSU. Ronnie Gideon homered, and Boomer White added an RBI single as the Aggies (3-2, 20-3) scored twice for a 2-1 lead in the fifth.

In Berkeley, Calif., Ryan Mason hurled a four-hit shutout as Cal clinched a Pac-12 series victory over Oregon State. Mason (3-1) walked one and struck out seven. The Bears (3-2, 13-6) scored in four of the first six innings. Brett Cumberland (2 for 2, 2 RBI) and Mitchell Kranson both homered for Cal. Nick Madrigal and Logan Ice both doubled for the Beavers (3-2, 16-4).

In Coral Gables, Fla., Willie Abreu smacked a game-winning two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth as Miami rallied past Clemson in their ACC series opener. Abreu went 2 for 5 with two runs, while Carl Chester went 3 for 5 with one run and one RBI for the Hurricanes (5-2, 18-4). Bryan Garcia (2-0, 2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 K) picked up the win. Reed Rohlman went 3 for 5 with a run, while Chase Pinder scored three for the Tigers (5-2, 17-4).

In Tallahassee, Fla., Jackson Leuck had a three-run double to highlight a six-run first as FSU took the ACC series opener. Dylan Busby also had a two-run single in the first for the Seminoles (6-1, 18-5). Cal Raleigh (2 for 3, 2B, 2 R) added a two-run homer in the seventh for FSU. Matthew Kinney (2-0) tossed 2.1 hitless innings with one strikeout in earning the win, while Tyler Warmoth struck out the side in the ninth for his first save. Brett Kinneman went 3 for 4 with a double, one run and one RBI for the Wolfpack (3-4, 16-8).

In Austin, Texas, Ty Culbreth and three relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as Texas secured a Big 12 series victory over TCU. Culbreth (4-2) allowed four hits and three walks in 6.1 innings with three strikeouts. Chase Shugart got the final two outs of the seventh and Josh Sawyer fanned three in the eighth. Connor Mayes worked a hitless ninth with one punchout to record his second save. Tres Barrera had a solo homer to cap a two-run sixth for the Longhorns (2-0, 11-12). Elliott Barzilli had two hits for the Horned Frogs (3-2, 17-5). Brian Howard (4-1, 8 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 9 K) went the distance for TCU.

In Lexington, Ky., Nelson Maldonado had went 3 for 5 with two homers, three runs and three RBI, and Jonathan India went 2 for 5 with a three-run triple in a five-run ninth inning as Florida beat Kentucky in the SEC. Logan Shore (5-0) was touched for four earned runs but struck out six in five innings for the Gators (4-0, 23-1). Maldonado homered in the third to start a three-run inning and added a two-run shot in the fourth inning. Gunnar McNeill had two hits and two runs for the Wildcats (2-2, 15-6).

In Chapel Hill, N.C., J.B. Bukauskas tossed eight scoreless innings and tied his career high with 11 strikeouts as UNC clinched an ACC series victory over Georgia Tech. Bukauskas (4-0) allowed four hits and did not walk a batter. Eli Sutherland had two-run singles in the first and seventh for the Tar Heels (6-2, 19-3). Tyler Ramirez went 3 for 5 with a homer and four runs for UNC. Trevor Craport had two hits for the Yellow Jackets (4-4, 17-5).

In Oxford, Miss., Braden Webb allowed four hits and three earned runs, and battery-mate Chris Cullen had three hits and two RBI as South Carolina beat Ole Miss for the second straight day. Webb, who entered with a 1.71 ERA, improved to 5-1 with another impressive outing. Marcus Mooney added two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Gamecocks (5-0, 22-2). Colby Bortles went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBI, including a two-run double in the first for a short-lived lead for the Rebels (2-3, 20-4).

In Columbia, Mo., Bryan Reynolds hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run ninth inning as Vanderbilt rallied to beat Missouri in the SEC. Jeren Kendall had a two-run single to tie the game in the ninth for the Commodores (2-2, 18-4) and finished with four RBI. Reynolds finished with three RBI in a game where Vandy starter Jordan Sheffield (6 ER) and Mizzou starter Reggie McClain (4 ER) were roughed up a bit. Jake Ring and Zach Lavy each had two RBI for the Tigers (0-4, 14-10).
The Citadel 10, VMI 2
In Lexington, Va., JP Sears recorded 19 strikeouts in eight innings, the most in the NCAA so far this season, as The Citadel won the Southern Conference series opener at VMI. Sears (3-1) set a Gray-Minor Stadium record for individual strikeouts and was one away from the school record, and the 21 overall punchouts were the most against VMI in program history. Sears allowed three hits, two walks and one run. Kyle Smith fanned two in the ninth for the Bulldogs (1-0, 10-12). The Citadel scored in each of the first five innings in building an 8-1 lead. William Kinney went 4 for 5 with three doubles and a run, while Mike Deese was 3 for 5 with two homers and three RBI. Stephen Windham and Clay Martin both had two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs. Peyton Maddox went deep for the Keydets (0-1, 13-12).

In Starkville, Miss., Ryan Rigby tossed three scoreless innings of relief, and Mississippi State scored three late runs, including two unearned runs in the seventh, to top Georgia to claim their SEC series. After an error allowed run to score, Nathaniel Lowe had an RBI single as MSU (4-1, 17-6-1) plated two runs for a 2-1 lead in the seventh. Cody Brown drove in the other run for the winning Bulldogs, who got six innings of one-run ball from Austin Sexton. Robert Tyler tossed six innings with no hits, six walks and six strikeouts for Georgia and left after 107 pitches.

In Tucson, Ariz., Sean Bouchard delivered a run-scoring single in the ninth to snap a 3-3 tie as UCLA evened its Pac-12 series with Arizona. Bouchard went 3 for 5 with two RBI for the Bruins (4-1, 12-8). Grant Dyer (1-1) went the distance, allowed six hits and three runs (two earned) with two walks and seven strikeouts. Alfonso Rivas went 3 for 4 with a triple, a run and one RBI for the Wildcats (2-3, 15-7).

In Springfield, Mo., Blake Graham doubled and drove in two as Missouri State edged Minnesota to kick off their three-game series. Spencer Johnson went 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Bears (19-2), who have won 10 straight. Sam Perez (4-0, 2.2 IP, H, 4 K) earned the win in relief, while Bryan Young retired the side in order in the top of the ninth for his seventh save. Connor Schaefbauer went 3 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Golden Gophers (10-8).

In Boca Raton, Fla., Stephen Kerr had three runs and three RBI as FAU swept a Conference USA doubleheader from UAB.
