In Stanford, Calif., Ryan Reynolds drew a bases-loaded walk to snap a scoreless tie in the top of the ninth as No. 9 Texas blanked fifth-ranked Stanford Thursday evening. Tate Shaw (2 for 4) followed with a two-run single and Reynolds scored on a wild pitch for the Longhorns (12-3). Ty Madden (5 H, 3 BB, 7 K) tossed seven shutout innings, while Kamron Fields (1-0, 1.1 IP, H, 2 K) recorded the win. Brendan Beck (0-2, 8.0 IP, 7 H, 2 R, BB, 5 K) worked eight scoreless innings before being charged with a pair of runs in the ninth for the Cardinal (9-3). Christian Robinson and Brandon Dieter both had two hits for Stanford.
In Honolulu, Hawaii, Daylen Calicdan had a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the eighth to erase a 6-4 deficit as Hawaii rallied to edge Oregon. Ethan Lopez (2 for 4, 2B) also drove in three for the Rainbows (8-5). Colin Ashworth (2-0, 2 IP, BB, 2 K) earned the win. Spencer Steer went 4 for 4 with two runs for the Ducks (7-4).
In Wilmington, N.C., Cole Weiss walked with the bases loaded to snap a 3-3 tie and spark a seven-run sixth as UNCW outscored UT. Brooks Baldwin went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBI for the Seahawks (7-7). Chris Meyers (2 for 3, R) and Trace Hatfield (1-3) both knocked in two for the Rockets (5-6).
