In Oxford, Miss., Colton Gordon tossed seven innings with six hits, one run and six strikeouts, and Jordan Rathbone went 2 for 4 with a solo homer and two runs as UCF edged top-ranked Ole Miss. Rathbone homered to lead off the seventh to tie the game at 1, and Josh Crouch added a one-out homer for a 2-1 lead for the Knights. David Litchfield tossed the final two innings, pitching around a Hayden Dunhurst homer, to pick up the save. Doug Nikhazy struck out 10 and allowed three hits and two runs over 6.1 innings for the Rebels.
Western Illinois 8, No. 5 Louisville 3 (box score)
In Louisville, Ky., Derek Botaletto went 4 for 5 with four runs, and Luke Schwartz went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBI as Western Illinois knocked off Louisville. The Leathernecks, who went 0-13 and allowed 19 or more runs four times in 2020, picked up their first win since April 18, 2019. Brett Sears pitched around five walks to allow three runs in five innings to pick up the win, and Brian Raymond turned in four scoreless innings with three hits and six strikeouts for WIU. Trey Leonard drove in two for the Cardinals.
Georgia State 4, No. 2 Vanderbilt 2 (box score)
In Nashville, Elian Merejo went 2 for 4, including a two-run homer in the ninth for needed insurance, and Ryan Watson allowed one run and struck out seven over five innings as Georgia State edged Vanderbilt. The Panthers, who split four games with West Virginia last weekend, earned their highest-ranked win in program history. Dalton Pearson went 3 for 3 with a run and an RBI, a sac fly to score Merejo for a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Watson and four other pitchers combined to strike out 13, with Chad Treadway closing for his first save. Jack Bulger went 2 for 4 with a run for the Commodores.
Virginia Tech 5, No. 3 Miami 3 (box score)
In Coral Gables, Fla., TJ Rumfield and Cade Hunter each homered and drove in two, and Matthew Silverling was brilliant in relief, tossing four scoreless innings with one hit and six strikeouts, as Virginia Tech slipped past Miami in ACC play. All the game’s runs were scored in the first three innings, as Daniel Felderman settled down for the Hurricanes and Silverling took over. Shane Connolly closed with two scoreless innings for the Hokies, who beat Miami for the first time since 2016.
No. 4 Arkansas 7, Southeast Missouri State 3 (box score)
In Fayetteville, Ark., Robert Moore, Cayden Wallace and Charlie Welch each homered and drove in two as Arkansas beat Southeast Missouri State for the second straight day. Moore went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for the Razorbacks, who scored four times in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie. Tyler Wilber went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI, and Peyton Leeper scored twice for SEMO.
No. 6 Florida 8, Samford 4 (box score)
In Gainesville, Fla., Tommy Mace struck out a career-best 11 and allowed three hits over six scoreless innings, and Sterlin Thompson went 2 for 2 with three runs and an RBI as Florida beat Samford. Jordan Carrion drove in a pair of runs, and Jud Fabian went 2 for 4 with a solo homer as six players drove in runs for the Gators. Tyler McManus hit a solo homer for the Bulldogs.

In Starkville, Miss., Braden Olthoff allowed two runs and struck out six over eight strong innings, and Collin Burns went 2 for 5 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Tulane knocked off Mississippi State. Frankie Niemann and Simon Baumgardt added two RBI as the Green Wave. Tanner Allen had two hits, a run and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

In Athens, Ohio, Joe Rock tossed a seven-inning no-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts as Ohio beat Morehead State in the first game of a doubleheader. Spencer Harbert had two hits, three runs and an RBI, and Mason Minzey added two hits and two RBI. The Eagles took the second game 3-1 in 11 innings.
Stetson 8, North Alabama 3
In DeLand, Fla., Andrew MacNeil went 2 for 3 with a grand slam and two runs as Stetson improved to 6-0 and gave coach Steve Trimper his 600th win.
