In Nashville, Tenn., Jeren Kendall went 3 for 4 with two RBI as Vanderbilt rolled past Radford. Ro Coleman and Penn Murfee also drove in two each for the Commodores (11-1). Vandy blew open a 4-3 game with six in the fifth. Patrick Raby (2-0, 5 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 7 K) picked up the win. Trevor Riggs had a three-run homer in the fifth for the Highlanders (2-10).
No. 1 Florida 6, North Florida 2
In Jacksonville, Fla., Mike Rivera had a two-run single to cap a four-run eighth as Florida rallied past North Florida. Kirby Snead (1-0) retired the final nine hitters to record the win in relief of Dane Dunning (6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 10 K). Dalton Guthrie went 2 for 5 with a double, two runs, while Peter Alonso added two hits, including a double, and two RBI for the Gators (13-1). Corbin Olmstead had a two-run homer in the first for the Ospreys (6-7).
No. 6 Miami 6, Maine 2
In Coral Gables, Fla., Willie Abreu had a two-run single to highlight a four-run seventh as Miami defeated Maine for its fifth consecutive victory. Jacob Heyward went 3 for 3 with three runs and one RBI for the Hurricanes (10-2). Jesse Lepore (2-0, 6 IP, 6 H, R, BB, 6 K) earned the win. Colin Ridley had three hits and one RBI, while Jeremy Pena went 2 for 5 with a homer for the Black Bears (3-8).
No. 7 LSU 6, Louisiana Tech 3
In Baton Rouge, La., Jake Fraley had two hits and two runs as LSU downed Louisiana Tech for its sixth straight win. Beau Jordan drove in a pair for the Tigers (10-2). LSU scored twice in the second and three in the third in building an early 5-0 lead. Raphael Gladu went 1 for 2 with a double, a walk and a run for the Bulldogs (8-4).
No. 9 TCU 5, UT Arlington 1
In Fort Worth, Texas, Luken Baker had a two-run double in the first to erase a 1-0 deficit as TCU topped UT Arlington. Dane Steinhagen also drove in a pair for the Horned Frogs (10-2). Darien McLemore had two hits for the Mavericks (8-6).
No. 13 NC State 4, Fairfield 2
In Raleigh, N.C., Shane Shepard homered in the fourth to snap a 1-1 tie and propel NC State past Fairfield. Preston Palmeiro also went deep for the Wolfpack (11-2). Andrew Knizner had three hits for NC State. Troy Scocca went 3 for 4 for the Stags (3-4).
No. 15 Virginia 6, Wagner 2
In Charlottesville, Va., Adam Haseley worked a career-best 7.1 innings, and Ernie Clement drove in two runs as Virginia got past Wagner. Haseley (3-0) allowed four hits and one run with five strikeouts. Ryan Karstetter had two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Cavaliers (8-4). Phil Capra went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI for Wagner (2-3).
