FSU Pitchers Cole Sands, Cobi Johnson, and Jim Voyles pitch a combined no-hitter beating Toledo 3-2 at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee.

No. 14 Florida State 3, Toledo 2

In Tallahassee, Fla., Cole Sands, Cobi Johnson and Jim Voyles combined on a no-hitter as Florida State edged Toledo at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium. Sands went three innings as the starter and retired all nine batters he faced. Johnson worked the next two innings with two unearned runs, one walk and two strikeouts. Voyles (1-0) fanned five over the final four innings to record the victory. Cal Raleigh (2 for 3) singled in the first and scored on a base hit by Ben DeLuzio to give the Seminoles (10-3) the early lead. The Rockets (1-11-1) plated a pair in the fourth to take the lead. Matt Hansen was hit by a pitch, Deion Tansel walked, and both scored on an error to give Toledo a 2-1 advantage. Taylor Walls had a leadoff double in the sixth and scored on a groundout by Gage West to knot the score at 2. FSU would win it in the ninth as Darren Miller (2 for 2) drew a leadoff walk, was sacrificed to second, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Matt Henderson (2 for 4) to give the Seminoles a 3-2 victory.

Gonzaga 15, No. 16 Arkansas 10

In Fayetteville, Ark., Gonzaga scored nine times over the final three innings to outlast Arkansas. The Bulldogs (6-6) trailed 10-6 after six before plating five in the seventh, one in the eighth and three in the ninth. Dustin Breshears (3 for 5) and Joey Harris (2 for 4) both drove in three, while Taylor Jones went 4 for 6 with two RBI for the victors. Sam Hellinger (1-1, 2.1 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 2 BB, K) picked up the win, while Justin Vernia tossed three hitless innings with one walk and three strikeouts to record his first save. Rick Nomura (2 for 4) had a grand slam and drove in five for the Razorbacks (10-3).

No. 1 Florida 5, North Florida 4

In Gainesville, Fla., Mike Rivera had a bases-clearing triple in the first as Florida edged North Florida. Dalton Guthrie went 2 for 3 with a run, while Mark Kolozsvary homered for the Gators (14-1). Jackson Kowar (2-0, 6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, BB, 4 K) earned the win, while Shaun Anderson pitched the final 1.2 innings with two hits and two strikeouts. Corbin Olmstead went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBI, while Kyle Brooks was 2 for 5 with two runs for the Ospreys (6-8).

No. 2 Vanderbilt 12, Radford 0

In Nashville, Tenn., Chandler Day and Joey Abraham combined on the shutout for Vanderbilt against Radford. Day (2-0) allowed three hits and a walk in five innings with six strikeouts, while Abraham gave up one hit and no walks over the final four frames with seven punchouts to record his first save. Walker Grisanti went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI, while Tyler Green added a pinch-hit three-run homer for the Commodores (12-1). Danny Hrbek went 1 for 3 with a double for the Highlanders (2-11).

No. 6 Miami 4, Stetson 2

In Coral Gables, Fla., Willie Abreu homered and drove in all four runs as Miami defeated Stetson. Abreu had a run-scoring single in the second and a three-run homer in the fourth. Brandon Lopez had two doubles and two runs for the Hurricanes (11-2). Keven Pimentel (1-0) tossed 5.2 innings of shutout ball with four hits, no walks and two strikeouts. Bryan Garcia recorded the final six outs with one hit, two walks and four punchouts to record his fourth save. John Fussell went 2 for 4 with one RBI for the Hatters (7-7).

No. 15 Virginia 20, Wagner 7

In Charlottesville, Va., leadoff hitter Adam Haseley went 3 for 4 with two walks and four runs as Virginia whipped Wagner. Cameron Simmons (2 for 5, 3 R) and Pavin Smith (2 for 3, R) both drove in four, while Ernie Clement went 4 for 5 with two runs. The Cavaliers (9-4) scored in six of their eight at-bats, including eight in the eighth. Trey Nicosia went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for the Seahawks (3-4).
