In Oklahoma City, Taylor Jungmann (right) raised his record to 13-0 by tossing a one-hitter for Texas to eliminate Baylor at Redhawks Ballpark. Jungmann gave up a RBI single to Max Muncy, the second batter of the game, and recorded the next 27 outs without allowing another hit. Jungmann walked four and struck out seven. Brandon Loy went 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBI, while Cohl Walla had two hits and drove in a pair for the Longhorns (41-14). The Bears fall to 29-26 and will nervously await Selection Monday. Burch Smith allowed one run in 8.2 innings as Oklahoma ended the stay of Texas Tech in the Big 12 tourney. Smith (10-3) gave up six hits and two walks while fanning eight. Ryan Duke got the final out for his seventh save. Cameron Seitzer went 2 for 2 with a homer and two walks for the Sooners (41-16). Nick Popescu was 1 for 4 and drove in the lone run for the Red Raiders (33-25).

 

Eric Garcia had a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth to carry Missouri past Oklahoma State. Jesse Santo had a two-run single to cap a five-run fifth for the Tigers (26-30). Zach Johnson had a three-run homer in the eighth and a two-run single in the ninth as the Cowboys (35-22) tied it at 5.

 

Michael Wacha pitched eight strong innings as Texas A&M shut down Kansas State. Wacha (7-3) gave up five hits and one run with no walks and seven strikeouts. Nick Fleece worked the ninth for his third save. Kenny Jackson had two hits and drove in one for the Aggies (40-18). Jason King went 3 for 4 with one RBI for the Wildcats (35-22).

In Chillicothe, Ohio, Tyler Hall had a three-run triple in the top of the ninth to complete the cycle and scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly as Central Michigan rallied past Toledo at VA Memorial Stadium. Hall singled in the first, homered in the fourth and doubled in the fifth for the Chippewas (30-26). Hall also walked twice, scored twice and drove in five. Harvey Martin (2-3, 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R) got the win, while Dietrich Enns pitched the ninth for his sixth save. Dan Sherwood (3 for 4, 3 RBI) homered twice for the Rockets (26-29).

 

Jeff Zimmerman and Joe Etcheverry both drove in two as Northern Illinois downed Bowling Green. Zimmerman had two hits, including his 10th homer. The Huskies (30-26) took the lead for good with three in the third. Andrew Kubiski and T.J. Losby both drove in runs for the Falcons (20-31). Tom Barry (5-5, 7.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 3 K) picked up the win, while Kyle Glancy worked around a hit and a walk in the ninth for his 12th save.

 

Casey Wilson pitched four hitless innings to record his third save as Kent State edged Eastern Michigan. Jimmy Ryder and Travis Shaw both had two hits and two RBI for the Golden Flashes (41-14). Lee Longo had a pair of solo homers for the Eagles (35-21).

 

In the day’s finale, Bryce Redeker went 3 for 5 with three RBI as Miami mauled Western Michigan. The Redhawks (34-24) scored in each of the first four innings in building an 8-2 lead. Brad Gschwind (2 for 6, 2 RBI) and Ryan Kaup both homered for Miami. Troy Forton had a two-run dinger in the second for the Broncos (26-30). Tyler Melling (8-2) allowed six hits in going the distance with six strikeouts.

 

Atlantic 10

In Camden, N.J., Andrew Smith and John Hamilton combined on the one-hit shutout as Charlotte routed Richmond at Campbell’s Field. Smith (9-4) allowed one hit and one walk with five strikeouts. Smith pitched two hitless innings with one walk and one strikeout. Justin Wilson had two hits and two runs, while Corbin Shive knocked in two for the 49ers (40-14). Chris Cowell had a hit and a walk for the Spiders (27-26-2).

 

Kyle Borden had two hits and three RBI as Rhode Island handed a loss to La Salle. The Rams (31-20) put up five in the bottom of the first and never looked back. Milan Adams had two doubles, while Mike LeBel (2 for 3, 2 R) and Dan Haverstick both drove in two for URI. John Bennie went 2 for 4 with a triple, one run and one RBI for the Explorers (28-25).

 

Dayton trailed 3-0 after one, but snapped a 4-4 tie with three in the seventh in eliminating La Salle in the late game. C.J. Gillman had three hits, including a homer, and four RBI for the Flyers (32-26). Tim Bury (4-2, 11 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 2 K) earned the complete-game victory. Jon Gyles had two hits and two RBI for the Explorers (28-26).

 

America East

In Stony Brook, N.Y., Jeffrey Gibbs and Shaun Coughlin combined on a one-hitter as Maine defeated Stony Brook at Joe Nathan Field to advance to the championship game. Gibbs (7-5) gave up one hit and one run with five walks and four strikeouts. The lone hit was a two-out double in the first by William Carmona. The run for the Seawolves (42-11) scored in the fourth as Travis Jankowski drew a one-out walk, moved to second on a throwing error, stole third and scored on a throwing error by the catcher to make it 2-1. Coughlin struck out two over three hitless innings to record his second save. Michael Fransoso went 3 for 3 with a double, a homer and three RBI. Alex Calbick also had a double and a grand slam while driving in five for the Black Bears (31-22). Stony Brook had its 12-game win streak snapped.

 

Earlier in the day, Zach Kraham pitched a complete game with one unearned run as Albany survived against Binghamton at Joe Nathan Field. Kraham (5-6) scattered eight hits with three walks and five strikeouts. The Great Danes (20-30) trailed 1-0 before scoring two in the eighth and two more in the ninth. Josh Nethaway was 3 for 4 with a double, two RBI, while Mike Tirri went 3 for 4 with a double, two runs and one RBI for Albany. Peter Bregartner had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in one for the Bearcats (21-28).

In Durham, N.C., Zeke DeVoss went 4 for 4 with two walks and three RBI as Miami rallied past North Carolina at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The Tar Heels (44-13) scored three in the first and two in the fifth for a 5-0 lead before the Hurricanes (35-20) put up four in the sixth, took the lead with two in the seventh and adding an insurance run in the top of the ninth. Stephen Perez had two hits and two RBI, while Harold Martinez added two hits and two runs for Miami. Tommy Coyle had three hits for UNC.

 

James Ramsey homered and drove in four as Florida State defeated Clemson. Ramsey went 2 for 3 for the Seminoles (41-27). Mike McGee had two hits, including a double, and one run for FSU. Phil Pohl and Will Lamb both had two hits and a run for the Tigers (40-18). Sean Gilmartin (11-1, 6 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 3 K) got the win, while Daniel Bennett gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth for his 13th save.

 

Mott Hyde reached on a one-out double and stole home with two away in the top of the 15th as Georgia Tech edged NC State in the day’s final contest. Zane Evans had two hits and three RBI, while Matt Skole went 3 for 7 with a homer and two RBI for the Yellow Jackets (40-18). Pratt Maynard had one hit, three walks and two runs for the Wolfpack (34-24).

In Nashville, Tenn., Justin French and JT Odom combined to hold Jacksonville to one run as Mercer advanced at Marsh Stadium. French (6-2) allowed nine hits and one run in 6.1 innings with two walks and five strikeouts. Odom pitched 2.2 hitless innings with three strikeouts to secure his seventh save. Billy Burns and Joe Winker both had two hits for the Bears (38-18). Adam Brett Walker (2 for 4) homered for the Dolphins (35-21).

 

Will Dorsey struck out nine in 6.2 innings as Stetson got past ETSU. Dorsey (7-5) allowed six hits and two runs (one earned) with two walks. Belmont stayed undefeated in the A-Sun tourney by eliminating Kennesaw State. Chase Brookshire (5-4) hurled a complete game with eight hits, one run, three walks and five strikeouts. In Clearwater, Fla., St. John’s continues to bolster its resume as it downed Pittsburgh at Bright House Field to stay undefeated in its bracket. Jeremy Baltz drove in two as the Red Storm (34-18) scored single runs in six of the final seven innings. Joe Panik and Paul Karmas both had two hits and two runs for St. John’s. Kevan Smith (3 for 4, 2 RBI) and David Chester (2 for 4, 2 RBI) both homered for the Panthers (33-22). Sean Hagan (6-2, 7 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 9 K) earned the win, while Matt Carasiti (2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 K) got his seventh save.

 

In the Thursday finale, Mike Genovese was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the tying run in the bottom of the 12th and Dale Anderson got a walk with two away to bring in the game-winner as Seton Hall outlasted Connecticut. Doug Elliot had a RBI single with two away in the top of the inning to give the Huskies (40-16-1) a one-run advantage. Mike Nemeth finished with four hits and LJ Mazzilli had three hits for UConn. Will Walsh had three hits and a run for the Pirates (31-23).

 

In the first game of the day, Justin Amlung picked up his 10th win as Louisville eliminated Cincinnati. Amlung (10-2, 4 H, 3 R, 2 BB) fanned seven in 6.1 innings. Tony Zych gave up two hits and walked one in the ninth before a game-ending double play gave him his 13th save. Cade Stallings (2 for 2, 3 R) homered for the Cardinals (30-28). Nic Spence went deep for the Bearcats (30-27).

In Columbus, Ohio, Davis Hendrickson had a RBI single to cap a four-run rally in the bottom of the ninth as Illinois edged Ohio State at Huntington Park. Justin Parr had two hits and drove in a pair for the Illini (26-25). Greg Solomon had a two-run homer and Brian DeLucia added a solo shot for the Buckeyes (26-26).

 

Ryan Jones had two hits and three RBI to lead Michigan State past Purdue. Torsten Boss added two hits and knocked in a pair for the Spartans (35-19). Kurt Wunderlich (10-2, 8 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 5 K) earned the victory. Eric Charles homered in the third for the Boilermakers (37-19).

 

In the first game of the day, Nick O’Shea had a two-run homer to start the scoring and capped the eight-run fourth with a RBI single as Minnesota eliminated Penn State. Ryan Clark went deep for the Nittany Lions (32-22). Phil Isaksson (4-4, 5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 8 K) got the win, while Billy Soule (3.2 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 3 K) picked up his first save.

In Wilmington, N.C., Sean Tierney tossed a five-hit shutout as James Madison opened the tourney with a win over Georgia State at Brooks Field. Tierney (10-1) walked two and struck out six. Johnny Bladel went 3 for 4 with a double and a run for the Dukes (38-17). David Herbek had two hits and two runs for JMU. Carter Sackett had two hits, including a two-bagger, for the Panthers (37-20). The Dukes have allowed six runs in the past 57 innings, including three shutouts in their past four games.

In Pearl, Miss., Ryan Still had a bunt single in the bottom of the 14th to plate the game-winner as Houston edged Southern Miss at Trustmark Park to secure a spot in the championship game. Codey Morehouse (3-5) pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with two hits, two walks and five strikeouts to earn the victory. He also had three hits and three runs for the Cougars (27-30). Kameron Brunty went 4 for 7 with two runs, while Marc Bourgeois had three hits and three RBI for the Golden Eagles (39-16).

 

Corey Thompson had a two-run double in the top of the 11th to lift East Carolina past Tulane. Thompson had three hits and three RBI for the Pirates (38-19). Kevin Brandt (7-3, 4.1 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 3 K) got the win for ECU. Cody Robinson had two hits and a run for the Green Wave (30-26).

 

Memphis scored five in the first, but Rice got multiple runs in three of the final four innings to pull out the victory. Phillip Chapman (2 for 4) had a two-run single and Robby Graham (2 for 4) followed with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first for the Tigers (29-27). The Owls (39-19) got one in the fourth, three in the sixth, two in the seventh and two in the ninth. Ryan Lewis went 3 for 3 with two walks and two RBI, while Michael Ratterree also had three hits for Rice. Anthony Rendon (2 for 4, 2 R) homered for the Owls. Tyler Duffey (8-1, 4.1 IP, 4 H, 1 K) earned the win in relief, while Tony Cingrani (1.2 IP, 2 H, 2 K) recorded his 11th save.

 

In the day’s first contest, Jonathan Griffin had a three-run homer with two outs in the top of the eighth to erase a 4-3 deficit as UCF edged UAB. Derek Luciano had two doubles and a run for the Knights (38-20). Nick Cicio (3-2, 3 IP, 1 H, 2 K) got the win in relief, while Joe Rogers struck out two in the ninth for his ninth save. John Frost had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for the Blazers (29-27).

 

Great West

In Grand Forks, N.D., Blake Krahenbuhl allowed two unearned runs in eight innings as Utah Valley nipped North Dakota to reach the title game. Krahenbuhl (7-2) surrendered six hits and two walks while striking out five. Josh Swenson got the final three outs for his sixth save. Billy Burgess went 1 for 2 with two walks and one RBI for the Wolverines (33-22). Kris Kwak went 2 for 2 with one run and one RBI for the Fighting Sioux (12-34).

 

George Carroll ripped a two-run double down the left-field line in the bottom of the 10th as NYIT eliminated Northern Colorado. NYIT meets Houston Baptist in an elimination game next. HBU, behind Jake Gonzalez's double, homer and five RBI ended NJIT's season.

In Trenton, N.J., Manhattan tied it in the eighth on a base hit by Ramon Ortega and won it in the bottom of the ninth on a bases-loaded walk by Matt Troisi to defeat Canisius to kickoff the tournament at Waterfront Park. John Soldinger (10-2) went the distance for the Jaspers (32-17) with six hits, two runs, two walks and six strikeouts. Sean Jamieson had two hits and one RBI for the Golden Griffins (25-31).

 

Kyle Baldani went 3 for 3 with two RBI as Siena got past Rider. Dan Paolini (2 for 4, 2 R) homered for the Saints (27-28). Neil Fryer (3 H, 1 BB, 2 K) pitched four scoreless innings for his second save. Kyle Sumple (4-6, 5 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 2 K) was the starter and winner for Siena. In Omaha, Neb., Gabriel Thibodeaux went 2 for 3 with one RBI as Creighton nipped Missouri State to force a deciding game Friday for a spot in Saturday’s title game. The Bluejays (42-14) scored single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth to erase a 5-3 deficit. Reese McGraw (6-1, 1.2 IP, 1 K) got the win, while Kurt Spomer (1 IP, 1 H, 2 BB) worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth for his 12th save. Brent Seifert had two hits and three RBI for the Bears (33-22).

 

Jeremy Lucas had three hits and three runs as Indiana State edged Wichita State. The teams will meet one more time on Friday with the winner advancing to the championship game. Ryan Walterhouse had two hits and two RBI for the Sycamores (29-27). The Shockers (38-25) scored three in the ninth and stranded a pair as the game ended. Don Lambert had three hits and two RBI, and Johnny Coy had a two-run homer in the fourth for WSU.

 

Indiana State scored a run in the bottom of the eighth on a sacrifice fly by Robby Ort and held on to eliminated Illinois State at TD Ameritrade Park. The Sycamores led 6-1 after four before a grand slam by Tyler McNeely (2 for 3) capped a five-run fifth for the Redbirds (36-18). Ort drove in two, while Tyler Wampler and Koby Kraemer both had three hits and a run for Indiana State.

 

Greg Hellhake hurled a two-hit shutout as Creighton stayed alive against Southern Illinois. Hellhake (4-4) walked one and struck out five. After the game was scoreless for the first four innings, the Bluejays scored in four of the final five frames. Alex Staehely had a double and drove in two for Creighton. Chris Murphy and Brock Harding had the hits for the Salukis (23-34).

 

MWC

In San Diego, Jacob Nelson had a run-scoring single with two outs in the top of the ninth as New Mexico nipped Utah at Tony Gwynn Stadium to advance to the championship game. Luke Campbell went 3 for 4 with two RBI, while Kyle Stiner drove in two for the Lobos (19-39). C.J. Cron and Cody Guymon both had two hits and one RBI for the Utes (29-20). Alexis Garza (1-3, 5.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 6 K) earned the victory, while Gera Sanchez (1 IP, 1 K) got his seventh save.

 

Josh Elander had two hits, three runs and three RBI, and Joe Weik added three hits and three runs as TCU avoided elimination by beating BYU. After the Cougars had cut the lead to 8-5, the Frogs scored four times in the eighth, thanks in part to Zac Jordan's pinch-hit, two-run single.

Earlier, shortstop Andrew Law turned an unassisted triple play, and Dane Nielsen had two hits and two RBI as BYU eliminated San Diego State. Wes Guenther and Dillon Robinson each went 2 for 4 for the Cougars. Law's triple play came on a popup that was called an infield fly. Runners at first and second broke and he tagged both near second base.

In Jackson, Tenn., Alec Mills allowed one earned run in 7.2 innings as UT Martin got past Eastern Kentucky at Pringles Park. Mills (7-4) surrendered 10 hits and two runs with no walks and six strikeouts. Alex Boshers (1.1 IP, 2 K) earned his second save. Jordan Owen and Cory Stooksbury both went 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Skyhawks (20-35). Austin Grisham and Michael Garcia both had two hits for the Colonels (21-36).

 

Lefty Casey Antley allowed four hits and two runs in a career-best six innings to lead Jacksonville State past Southeast Missouri State. Eric Underwood had three RBI, and Sam Eberle added two hits and two RBI for the Gamecocks (36-21). Todd Hornsby posted his OVC-record 15th save.

 

In the final game of the day, Jeremy Dobbs dominated for eight innings as Austin Peay edged Tennessee Tech. Dobbs (9-2) allowed four hits and one run with three walks and nine strikeouts. In Hoover, Ala., Hudson Randall tossed eight scoreless innings, and Daniel Pigott and Bryson Smith each had four hits as Florida advanced to the semifinals at Regions Park. Randall allowed four hits and hasn't allowed an earned run to the Tide in 21.1 career innings. Pigott scored three times, and Smith had three RBI for the Gators.

 

In the final contest of the day, Vanderbilt used a four-run ninth to pull away from South Carolina. Conrad Gregor (2 for 4) and Mike Yastrzemski both drove in two for the Commodores (46-9). Sonny Gray (10-3, 6.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K) earned the victory, while Navery Moore (1.1 IP, 1 BB) notched his 10th save. Christian Walker had three hits and one run for the Gamecocks (45-13).

 

In the first game, James McCann went 4 for 5 with two runs and two RBI as Arkansas sent Mississippi State home. McCann had a RBI single in a four-run first for the Razorbacks (37-19). DJ Baxendale (9-2, 5 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 3 K) earned the win, while Barrett Astin (4 IP, 2 H, 4 K) notched his third save. Jarrod Parks had two hits and a run for the Bulldogs (34-23).

 

Alex Wood went the distance as Georgia ended Auburn’s season. Wood (5-7) gave up seven hits and two runs with three walks and eight strikeouts. Peter Verdin had three hits, while Zach Cone and Chase Davidson both drove in runs for the Bulldogs (29-29). Casey McElroy (2 for 3) homered for the Tigers (29-29).

In Charleston, S.C., Charles Basford was one hitter away from a complete game as Samford beat Furman at Riley Park to stay undefeated in its bracket. Basford (7-4) allowed eight hits and one unearned run in 8.2 innings with four walks and five strikeouts. Joseph Burns recorded the final out to secure the win. The Bulldogs (36-22) scored in each of the first three innings in building a 6-0 cushion. Michael Johnson went 4 for 6 with a run and two steals, while Tyler Filliben drove in three for Samford. Alex Abrams had three hits and one RBI for the Paladins (24-32).

 

Andy Moye allowed one run in eight innings as Georgia Southern handled Western Carolina. Moye (7-1) allowed four hits and walked eight while striking out three. Victor Roache drove in three, while Eric Phillips and Steve Cochrane both had three hits and two RBI for the Eagles (34-23). Michael Burruss had four hits and drove in one for GSU. Aaron Attaway was 1 for 2 with one walk and one RBI for the Catamounts (23-30-1).

 

In the first game of the day, Appalachian State scored two in the bottom of the seventh to erase a 4-3 deficit and added an insurance run in the eighth in eliminating UNC Greensboro. Trey Holmes went 2 for 3 with two RBI, while Tyler Zupcic added two hits and two runs for the Mountaineers (32-26). Taylor Miller tossed two scoreless innings with one hit and one strikeout for his 12th save. Bobby Martin had three hits and one RBI for the Spartans (34-20).

 

College of Charleston tied it in the seventh and took the lead in the eighth in eliminating Elon. Cole Rakar had a single and scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth for the Cougars (37-21). Kyle Owings (1-3) tossed two hitless innings to earn the win. Marty Gantt homered and scored twice for CofC. Jake Luce had a two-run double in the fifth for the Phoenix (36-21).

Jackson Hook had four hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in one for the Lumberjacks (36-21). Chase Wier (3-1, 5.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 5 K) picked up the win. Ryan Dalton had two hits and one RBI for the Roadrunners (27-31).

 

In the day’s last game, Patrick Shreve (left) outdueled Matt Shelton as Nicholls State got past Sam Houston State. In Sioux Falls, S.D., it was the Killer B’s for Oral Roberts as T.J. Bennett homered twice and drove in five, and Drew Bowen tossed the six-hit shutout, to blank Western Illinois in the tourney lid-lifter at Sioux Falls Stadium. Bennett, who had one homer during the regular season, had a three-run dinger to cap a five-run first and added a solo shot in the fourth for a 6-0 advantage. Chris Elder went 4 for 5 with three runs for the Golden Eagles (34-20). Bowen (5-2) walked four and fanned seven in recording his first nine-inning complete game. Ryan Cowhey had a double for the Leathernecks (21-37).

 

In the late game, Eric Cain had a two-run homer to cap a three-run third as South Dakota State defeated North Dakota State. Blake Treinen (7-3, 7.1 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 5 K) earned the victory for the Jackrabbits (36-18), while Trever Vermeulen (1.2 IP, 2 K) secured his 10th save. Tim Colwell and Blake Turbak both had two hits for the Bison (21-31).

Tyler Hannah (2 for 3, 3 R, 4 RBI) and Adam Bryant (3 for 4, 3 R, 3 RBI) both homered for the Trojans (41-17). Bryant missed the cycle by a single. Joey Burkhalter had a grand slam in a five-run fifth for the Owls (32-24). Nathan Hill (5-2, 2.2 IP, 2 H, 2 K) earned the win in relief. The victory by Troy means UALR wins the pod and advances to the title game.
