Team of the Week

USC is CBI Team of the Week


USC entered the Dodgertown Classic looking to prove that its 12-1 start was no fluke. The Trojans did just that in winning three games against top-six opponents and are the National Team of the Week for games played March 2-8.


After dropping a 3-2 game to UC Santa Barbara, , USC beat No. 4 TCU, No. 2 Vanderbilt and No. 6 UCLA on consecutive days.


Regional Teams of the Week


Northeast: James Madison picked up a four-game sweep against Canisius, which already had beaten Old Dominion and Coastal Carolina this season.


South: Campbell had a 6-0 week, knocking off Elon and sweeping a doubleheader from William & Mary before going 3-0 against Bowling Green over the weekend.


Central: Milwaukee swept three games at Missouri (7-4, 5-1, 3-1), which entered 10-1 and hadn’t allowed more than three runs in a game all season


West: Cal State Fullerton had a big week, beating Pepperdine in a mid-week game before sweeping three games from No. 7 Texas Tech.


Honorable Mention


Texas A&M went 4-0, beating Dallas Baptist and sweeping through Nebraska, Houston and Baylor in the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park.

TCU went 3-1 with a win over Rice before going 2-1 at the Dodgertown Classic (wins vs. Vanderbilt and UCLA and a loss to USC).

UC Santa Barbara handed USC its first loss and won two of three at Sacramento State.

Bradley went 4-0 at the Belmont tourney, topping the host Bruins and Quinnipiac two times apiece.

Akron went 2-1 at Coastal Carolina’s tourney, losing to the host and beating Michigan and Michigan State.

Nevada went 3-1 with a win against UC Davis and going 2-1 at UNLV.

SIUE picked up a road sweep at Jacksonville State in the OVC.

San Diego traveled to Mississippi State and won two of three against the Bulldogs.

FAU won a home-and-home with UNF, then swept three from Rutgers in a 5-0 week.

Oregon State went 5-0, knocking off Portland before sweeping four games from Fresno State.
