After not much movement over the first two weekends of the 2019 season, there was major shifting this week in latest CBI Composite Poll.

Vanderbilt rose one spot to No. 1 after a 4-1 week at home. The Commodores are first in four polls and second in the other two.

Defending national champion Oregon State jumped five places to second after winning a weekend series from West Virginia. The Beavers are first in one poll, second in two polls and have a third, fourth and seventh.

UCLA was one of the few schools that held its spot, remaining at No. 3 after a 3-1 week. The Bruins are second in two polls, third in two polls, and have a fourth and a sixth.

North Carolina moved up two spots to fourth after a 4-1 week at home. The Tar Heels are third in three polls and fourth in the other three polls.

Stanford rose three spots to No. 5 after going 3-1, including a series win over Cal State Fullerton. The Cardinal are fourth in one poll, fifth in three polls, and have a sixth and an 11th.

Texas, NC State and Michigan moved into the poll, while Clemson, TCU and Baylor dropped out.

There are eight schools from the SEC in this week’s poll. There are four from the ACC, three from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12, and single entries from the American, Big Ten and Sun Belt.
