UCLA remains the unanimous No. 1 and Texas moves up to No. 2 in the latest CBI Composite Poll.
UCLA had a 4-0 week, downing Cal State Fullerton before sweeping a three-game Big Ten series at Ohio State. The Bruins are first in all five national polls.
Texas also went 4-0, defeating HCU prior to a three-game home sweep over USC Upstate to bump up one place to second. The Longhorns are second in four polls and third in the other.
Mississippi State had a 3-1 week, rebounding from a loss at No. 10 Southern Miss to take three at home from Lipscomb to move up one spot to third. The Bulldogs are second in one poll, third in three polls and fourth in the other.
Georgia Tech was 3-1 to climb one space to fourth. The Yellow Jackets won at Georgia State before taking two of three from Virginia Tech in ACC action. GT is third in one poll and fourth in the other four.
Auburn had a 4-0 week and moved up one spot to fifth. The Tigers topped Samford before a three-game home sweep of Winthrop. Auburn is fifth in four polls and sixth in the other.
Oregon State and Texas A&M entered the CBI Composite Poll this week, while Florida and Coastal Carolina dropped out.
There are nine teams from the SEC in this week’s CBI Composite Poll, including six of the top 10. There are seven from the ACC, one independent and single entries from the Big 10, Big 12 and Sun Belt.
