In Los Angeles, Aidan Russell hurled 3.2 innings of hitless relief as SDSU nipped UCLA. Russell did not walk a batter and struck out five to nail down his first save. Alec Belardes (1-1) worked the first 5.1 innings with three hits, three runs, three walks and three strikeouts. Tyce Peterson homered in the fourth to snap a 1-1 deadlock and put the Aztecs (5-3) ahead to stay. Roman Martin had an RBI double and scored for the Bruins (6-2).

In Atlanta, Lucas Grantham belted a two-run homer to break a 2-2 tie and cap a four-run fifth as GSU outscored GT. Wills Maginnis had a two-run single to spark a three-run sixth for the Panthers (7-2). Cooper Lewis (1-0) tossed two hitless innings in relief with four strikeouts to pick up the win. Will Bartkoski worked the final three frames to record his second save. Jackson Blakely struck out nine in four scoreless innings for the Yellow Jackets (8-1). Jarren Advincula had a two-run dinger in the first for GT.
