Tennessee Tops CBI Composite Poll (3/28)

Following a 4-0 week, including a three-game sweep at third-ranked Ole Miss, Tennessee is the unanimous No. 1 in this week’s CBI Composite Poll.

The Volunteers moved up three spots from fourth after major shifts in the polls this week.

Virginia rose five spots to No. 2 after a 3-1 week. The Cavaliers went 2-1 this past weekend at Wake Forest. UVA is second in one poll, third in four polls and fourth in the other.

Arkansas climbed two spots to third. The Razorbacks took two of three this past weekend at Missouri. Arkansas is second in three polls, fourth in two and sixth in the other.

Oregon State also moved up two places to fourth. The Beavers went 3-1, with a series win at Cal over the weekend. OSU is second in one poll, third in one, fourth in two, fifth in one and eighth in the other.

Texas Tech made a huge jump of 10 spots to fifth after going 3-1 with a series win over second-ranked Texas. The Red Raiders are fourth in one poll, sixth in three and seventh in the other.

There are seven teams in three week’s poll from the SEC, including two of the top three and three of the top six. There are six teams from the ACC, three from the Big 12, two from the Pac-12 and one from the Sun Belt.
