After winning three games over ranked Big 12 teams in the State Farm College Baseball Showdown, Ole Miss moved to the top spot in the CBI Composite Poll.
Only five polls are included in this week’s CBI Composite Poll. The USA Today Coaches Poll was not yet updated from its preseason poll.
The Rebels defeated TCU, Texas Tech and Texas to start the season at 3-0. Ole Miss is first in four polls and fourth in the other.
Vanderbilt climbed two spots to second. The Commodores swept a home doubleheader from Wright State on Monday. Vandy is second in two polls, third in one, fourth in one and sixth in the other.
Miami took two of three at top-ranked Florida to jump six places to third. The Hurricanes are first in one poll, third in two, fifth in one and sixth in the other.
Arkansas also took three in Arlington from Texas Tech, Texas and TCU to jump eight spots to fourth. The Razorbacks are second in one poll, third in one, fifth in two and sixth in the other.
Louisville swept a three-game set from Bellarmine to bump up one spot to fifth. The Cardinals are second in one poll, fourth in two, fifth in one and sixth in the other.
There are eight teams in the poll from the SEC, including five of the top seven. There are seven from the ACC, two from the Big 12 and single entries from the American, Big 12 and Big West.
Tennessee and Duke entered the poll, while Texas and Arizona dropped out.
