The Division I Council voted to allow schools to give student-athletes participating in spring sports an additional year of competition.
Baseball seniors who return would not count against his team’s totals of 35 players on the roster, 11.7 scholarships and 27 receiving athletic aid.
The scholarship amount a senior would receive for 2020-21 may not exceed the 2019-20 amount.
Underclassmen would also be granted an additional year of eligibility.
The Ivy League announced that it would not give an extra year of eligibility to its spring sport student-athletes.
