Jack Leftwich allowed two runs over 6.1 innings as UF eliminated TTU. Leftwich gave up seven hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Michael Byrne recorded the final four outs to record the save. Jonathan India had a leadoff walk and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth to start the scoring for the Gators. Deacon Liput (2 for 4) had an RBI double and Nelson Maldonado knocked in a run with a groundout in the fifth to make it a 3-0 game. JJ Schwarz belted a two-run homer to left in the sixth as UF went up 5-0. Brian Klein (2 for 4) and Josh Jung (3 for 5) had run-scoring singles in a three-run seventh as TTU pulled within two at 5-3. The Gators answered in the top of the eighth as Austin Langworthy delivered a sac fly, Brady Smith had an RBI triple and came home on a single by Nick Horvath (2 for 4) as the lead grew back to five at 8-3. In the bottom of the frame, Grant Little had a two-run single to cap a three-run eighth as TTU made it an 8-6 game. India singled and scored in the ninth as UF made the final 9-6.
