Taylor Walls had a two-run single to key a four-run eighth inning as Florida State knocked off NC State. Dylan Busby also drove in a pair of runs for the Seminoles (35-19), who scored the game’s final six runs and limited the Wolfpack (34-19) to three hits and no runs over the final four innings. Josh McLain went 2 for 4 with a run for NC State.

Jesse Lepore tossed six scoreless innings with three hits, and Miami used a three-run first inning to get past Georgia Tech. Brandon Lopez and Willie Abreu had RBI singles, and Randy Batista plated a third run on a grounder as the Hurricanes (44-10) took advantage of three walks. Zack Collins later homered for Miami. Ben Parr tossed 6.2 innings of scoreless relief for the Yellow Jackets (36-21).

Will Smith went 2 for 5 with two homers and five RBI, and Nick Solak and Blake Tiberi each homered and drove in two as Louisville knocked off Wake Forest. Kade McClure struck out 11 and allowed two earned runs in six innings for the Cardinals. Ben Breazeale had two RBI for the Demon Deacons.

Mike Shawaryn struck out 16, one away from the tourney record, as Maryland edged Indiana. Shawaryn (6-4) went the distance with four hits, three walks and two earned runs. Nick Dunn had three hits and three RBI, while Marty Costes had two doubles, a triple and three runs for the Terps (29-25). Luke Miller had two hits for the Hoosiers (31-20).

Cam Vieaux gave up three hits and one run in 8.2 innings as MSU downed Nebraska. Vieaux (7-4) walked two and fanned one. The Spartans (35-18) scored all five in the sixth. Kris Simonton had two hits and a run for MSU. Ben Miller doubled and knocked in one for the Cornhuskers (37-19).

C.J. Eldred allowed two runs in seven innings as Iowa knocked off Minnesota. Eldred (3-8) gave up six hits and two walks with five strikeouts. The Hawkeyes (28-25) scored two in the first, three in the second and three in the fifth. Joel Booker went 5 for 5 with one run and one RBI, while Tyler Peyton was 4 for 6 with a double, a triple and two runs for Iowa. Connor Schaefbauer had a two-run homer for the Gophers (34-19).

Nick Sergakis homered twice and scored three as OSU downed Michigan. The Buckeyes (39-17-1) scored six in the fifth to erase a 2-1 deficit. Ronnie Dawson reached five times for OSU, going 3 for 3 with a double and two walks. Tanner Tully (8-3, 7 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 K) earned the win. Drew Lugbauer had a two-run dinger in the fourth for the Wolverines (35-19).

Walker Grisanti hit a pinch-hit homer in the top of the ninth inning as Vanderbilt edged Texas A&M. Grisanti’s homer ended Mark Ecker’s 31.1 scoreless-inning streak. Matt Rupenthal tossed 3.1 scoreless innings of relief, and Will Toffee went 3 for 4 with two RBI for the Commodores (43-15), who meet Ole Miss next. Julian Infante added two hits, including a homer, and two runs, and Connor Kaiser contributed two hits and two RBI for Vandy. Jonathan Moroney and Austin Homan each had two hits and two RBI for the Aggies (41-14), who square off against South Carolina.

Henri Lartigue went 4 for 5 with a homer, three runs and four RBI, and Colby Bortles contributed two hits and two RBI as Ole Miss handed South Carolina its seventh straight SEC tourney loss. David Parkinson tossed 5.2 innings with two runs and six strikeouts for the Rebels (42-16), who meet Vanderbilt next. Alex Destino had two RBI, and Gene Cone added three hits for the Gamecocks (42-14).

MSU_AL_1Zac Houston turned in a dominant performance, allowing four hits and striking out five in 8.2 innings, and Gavin Collins went 4 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Mississippi State topped Alabama. Jake Mangum added two hits, a run and an RBI for the Bulldogs (41-14), who meet LSU. Chandler Taylor had the lone RBI for the Crimson Tide (32-25), who play Florida.

Albany plated three in the eighth to snap a 5-5 deadlock against UMBC. Connor Powers went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for the Great Danes (22-28). Anthony Gatto doubled twice and drove in two for the Retrievers.

Bobby Honeyman homered with two away in the bottom of the ninth as Stony Brook nipped Maine. Teddy Rodlif (1-4, 2 IP, H, 4 K) earned the win in relief of Chad Lee (7 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 5 K) for the Seawolves (25-25). Jeremy Pena had two hits for the Black Bears (19-34).

Colin Ridley had three hits and three RBI as Maine eliminated UMBC. The Black Bears (20-34) extended a 4-0 lead with six in the fifth. John Arel (3-9, 2 H, UE, 3 BB) fanned 11 in eight innings for Maine. Mitchell Carroll went 1 for 2 with a walk and an RBI for the Retrievers (28-23).

John Toppa had three hits and four RBI as UConn downed Memphis. Bryan Daniello had two doubles and a run for the Huskies (34-22). Anthony Kay (8-2, 9 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 6 K) went the distance for UConn. Jake Overbey went 3 for 3 with one RBI for the Tigers (19-38).

Brooks Morgan homered in the bottom of the 10th as UCF (26-32) eliminated UC (26-30-1).

Ford Proctor hit a grand slam as part of a nine-run second inning, and Connor Teykl went 4 for 5 with two runs and three RBI as Rice held off Louisiana Tech. The Owls (33-20) led 9-2 and watched as Tech (37-17), behind Chase Lunceford’s homer and four RBI and big days from Jonathan Washam (3 for 5, 3 R, 2 RBI) and Raphael Gladu (4 for 6, 2 RBI), close to 10-9 in the eighth. Rice scored three in the eighth, only to have to fend off Louisiana Tech’s three in the top of the ninth. Rice will face FAU next.

Brandon Rhodes tossed six sterling innings of relief with two hits and one run as FAU edged Charlotte. Billy Endris and Austin Langham each had two hits and two RBI for the Owls (38-15), who trailed 4-2 after the top of the second. Zach Jarrett went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBI, and Nick Daddio went 2 for 3 with a solo homer for the 49ers (25-31), who meet Louisiana Tech next.

Daniel Keating went 2 for 3 with a homer, two runs and five RBI, and Tim Lynch added two hits, including a homer, two runs and four RBI as Southern Miss trounced Old Dominion. The Golden Eagles (37-18) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first, only to be stunned with five runs by the Monarchs (32-23) in the top of the second. Zach Rutherford hit a three-run homer, and Kyle Beam added a two-run shot for ODU. From there, Southern Miss scored 13 unanswered runs.
