In New Orleans, Warren Laster drew a bases-loaded walk in a four-run first and capped a four-run second with a two-run double as GSU handled ASU. Laster (1-2, 2 BB, 4 RBI) added a sacrifice fly in the seventh for the Tigers (25-23). Garrett Smith went 2 for 3 with two walks, one run and three RBI for GSU. Jason Alvarez (4-3, 8.0 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 8 K) earned the complete-game victory. Kirt Cormier drove in two, while Jordan McGowan had two hits and two runs for the Braves (14-30).
Oscar Ponce had an RBI single in the top of the 10th as TSU edged JSU. TSU (18-32) scored twice in the ninth to force the extra frame. Nic Garza went 3 for 3 with two walks and three runs for the victors. Aron Solis (5-3, 10.0 IP, 10 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 7 K) went the distance and picked up the win. Raul Hernandez had a two-run homer, while Chris Prentiss had two hits and two runs for JSU (30-23).
Cristopher DeGuzman had a two-run single to cap a four-run first as ASU outscored PVAMU. Cameron Hearn had three hits and two runs, while Santiago Garcia knocked in three for the Hornets (26-24). Darren Kelly (6-2, 9.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 BB, 8 K) earned the complete-game victory. Dalton Horner homered, while Daniel Lingua knocked in two for the Panthers (17-34).
In the final game of the day, Johnny Johnson had a three-run homer in the eighth as SU outscored UAPB, Malik Blaise (2 for 5, 3 R) also went deep for the Jaguars (29-21). Davion White had two RBI for the Lions (8-41).

Kyle Coleman (5-5, 8.0 IP, 9 H, 3 R, BB, 7 K) hurled the complete game victory for the Rattlers (23-31). John Weglarz went 3 for 3 with a run for the Hornets (18-24).
In Game 2, G Bogart went 1 for 3 with two walks, two runs and two RBI as SSU beat CSU. The Tigers (13-25-1) put up crooked numbers with two in the fifth and three in the ninth. L Torres-Lo (2-5, 9.0 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 5 K) went the distance to record the victory. Marcos Castillo went 2 for 4 with a run for the Eagles (24-23).
Miguel Rivera homered twice and knocked in three as DSU eliminated CSU. Rivera had a solo homer in the top of the first and a two-run shot to cap a three-run seventh for the Hornets (19-24). John Weglarz went 4 for 5 with one run and two RBI for DSU. Darnell Maisonet (3-2, 7 IP, 7 H, R, BB, 9 K) earned the win, while Jeremy Carrow recorded the final out for his third save. Nazier McIlwain had two hits and three RBI for the Eagles (24-24).
