Pete Hansen fanned 12 in 7.2 innings as UT blanked OSU in the Big 12 opener. Hansen (10-1) allowed three hits and walked two. Tristan Stevens struck out two over the final 1.1 innings to notch his second save. Trey Faltine went 3 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Longhorns (40-17), who scored in three of the final four innings. Zach Ehrhard, Jake Thompson and John Bay had hits for the Cowboys (36-19).

TCU scored twice in the eighth to break a 2-2 deadlock as squeeze past BU. Kurtis Burne went 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI for the Horned Frogs (36-18). Tre Richardson had two doubles and scored twice for the Bears (26-27).

Patriot (West Point, N.Y.)
#2 Bucknell 13, #1 Army 3

Chris Cannizzaro went 3 for 5 with a double, two runs and two RBI as Bucknell evened its championship series at Army. Grant Voytovich had two hits, including a double, three runs and two RBI for the Bison (22-25). Austin Odell allowed one run over 8.0 innings with six hits, three walks and three strikeouts to improve to 9-2. Hunter Meade went 3 for 4 with a double, one run and one RBI for the Black Knights (30-22).

Bryce Hulett delivered a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to lift Pitt past UL, as the Panthers won Pool B to advance to the semifinals on Saturday. Hulett finished with three hits, while Jeffrey Wehler went 3 for 5 with two homers, three runs and three RBI for the Panthers (29-26). Dalton Rushinng went deep twice and knocked in three for the Cardinals (38-17-1).

Alex Toral homered and knocked in four as FSU thumped UVA. James Tibbs went 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBI for the Seminoles (33-22). Wyatt Crowell (6-1) tossed four scoreless innings in relief with three hits, no walks and six strikeouts to pick up the win. Kyle Teel went 2 for 4 with a triple, one run and one RBI for the Cavaliers (38-16).

SEC (Hoover, Ala.)

#12 Kentucky 3, #5 Auburn 1 (Auburn eliminated)

Oraj Anu hit a solo homer to break a 1-1 tie in the ninth, and Adam Fogel followed with a solo shot of his own as Kentucky became the first 12-seed to win a game in the SEC tourney by eliminating Auburn. Sonny DiChiara tied the game in the bottom of the eighth with a solo homer. Sean Harney tossed seven scoreless innings with four hits and five strikeouts for the Wildcats (31-24), who took two of three vs. the Tigers (37-19) to close the SEC regular season.

Alabama, which took two of three from Arkansas to close the regular season, got two hits and an RBI from Drew Williamson in edging the Razorbacks. Tommy Seidl drove in a run for the Tide, which took advantage of two errors and two unearned runs. Chris Lanzilli went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer, and Jalen Battles added two hits and a solo homer for Arkansas. Alabama next meets the winner of Texas A&M and Florida, with Arkansas playing the loser of that game.

Atlantic 10 (Davidson, N.C.)

Jacob Friend went 3 for 4 with four RBI as Davidson scored five runs in its final three at-bats in a win over George Mason. Nolan Devos tossed six scoreless innings with four hits and seven strikeouts, and Bennett Flynn closed the final three innings for his sixth save for the Wildcats (43-11).

VCU picked up its second straight win in the tourney and 13th straight win overall courtesy of the long ball. Ben Nippolt homered and drove in three, Tyler Locklear (2 for 3) homered, scored twice and drove in two and Connor Husjak homered and drove in two for the Rams (38-18). Maddison Furman tossed five scoreless innings with four hits to improve to 6-0.

Richmond’s Alden Mathes had three hits, drove in two and tossed the final two innings to earn the win as the Spiders scored three times in the eighth to eliminate Rhode Island

Pac 12 (Scottsdale, Ariz.)

Daniel Susac (3 for 4, 3 R) homered twice, including a two-run shot in the top of the ninth, and drove in three, and Chase Davis and Garen Caulfield each added two hits and two RBI as Arizona (36-21) won the first Pac 12 tourney game in the conference’s history. Anthony Hall homered and drove in three for the Ducks (35-22).

Stanford scored all of its runs in its final four at-bats, getting a homer and three RBI from Drew Bowser and a two-run homer from Brock Jones, in knocking off Arizona State. Will Rogers went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs for the Sun Devils, who got six strong innings from Kyle Luckham (2 ER).
