Trevor Stephan and two relievers combined on the shutout as Arkansas blanked ORU. Stephan allowed four hits and three walks in 7.1 innings while striking out 12. Kevin Kopps gave up two hits in 1.1 innings with one punchout before Matt Cronin fanned the final batter to pick up the save. The Razorbacks (43-17) scored single runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth. Chad Spanberger went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk and an RBI, while Jake Arledge was 2 for 4 with one run and one RBI for Arkansas. Dylan Snypes went 2 for 3 for the Golden Eagles (42-15).
Jeremy Eierman belted a two-run homer, his second of the game, with two away in the bottom of the ninth to lift MSU over OSU. Eierman went 2 for 4 with three runs and three RBI for the Bears (41-17). Garrett Benge (4 for 5, 2 R) had an RBI triple and scored on a wild pitch in the top of the ninth as the Cowboys (30-26) took a 5-4 lead. With that triple, Benge hit for the cycle.

Nick Rivera homered twice as FGCU outscored Michigan. Rivera had a three-run blast to cap a five-run sixth to put the Eagles (43-18) ahead 8-5. Spencer Levine went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for FGCU. Mario Leon (2.1 IP, 5 H, 2 R, BB, 3 K) earned the win, while Kenton Hering (2.1 IP, 2 H, 2 K) recorded the save. Johnny Slater homered and scored twice for the Wolverines (42-16).

Keegan Thompson allowed two runs in eight innings as Auburn downed UCF. Thompson (7-4) allowed four hits and one walk while striking out nine. Will Holland (2 for 4, 2B, 2 R) homered and drove in three, while Josh Anthony had two hits and two RBI for the Tigers (36-24). Rylan Thomas and Kam Gellinger (1 for 4, 2 RBI) both went deep for the Knights (40-21)
Hattiesburg Regional

Southern Miss trailed 6-1 before scored three in the fifth and four in the sixth to rally past UIC. Matthew Guidry (2 for 2, 3 RBI) had a pinch-hit two-run triple and scored in the fifth and added an RBI single in the sixth for the Golden Eagles (49-14). Hayden Roberts (1.2 IP, 2 H, R, 3 K) earned the win, while Nick Sandin (2 IP, H, BB, 2 K) recorded the save. Scott Ota went 3 for 5 with two doubles, a triple and two runs, and Rob Calabrese cranked a grand slam for the Flames (39-16).
Travis Swaggerty was a triple short of the cycle, going 3 for 4 with four RBI as USA knocked off MSU. Swaggerty had an RBI double in a three-run first and delivered a three-run homer in the fifth for the Jaguars (40-19). Randy Bell went the distance, allowing six hits and three runs with two walks and three strikeouts. Cody Brown went 2 for 4 with a triple, a run and an RBI for the Bulldogs (36-25).
Baton Rouge Regional

Zach Watson homered twice and knocked in four as LSU outscored TSU. The visiting Tigers (20-33) led 7-5 in the middle of the fifth before LSU (44-17) tallied four in the fifth and four more in the seventh. Michael Papierski (2 for 2, 2 R, 4 RBI) also went deep for the victors. Jose Camacho went 3 for 4 with two runs and one RBI for TSU.
Taylor Schwaner was a triple short of the cycle as SLU doubled up Rice. Schwaner had three hits, including a double and a homer, three runs and one RBI, while Drew Avans had two hits and three RBI for the Lions (37-20). Dayne Wunderlich (3 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Dane Myers both homered for the Owls (31-30).
Corvallis Regional

Jake Thompson fanned 10 over 7.2 innings as OSU handled Holy Cross for its 50th win of the season. Thompson allowed four hits, three walks and one run. Adley Rutschman went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and one RBI, while Michael Gretler homered for the Beavers (50-4), who expanded a 2-1 lead with three in the sixth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth. Kellen McCormick had two hits and one RBI for the Crusaders (23-28).
Scott Politz tossed a six-hitter with six strikeouts as Yale downed Nebraska. Politz (11-1) allowed four walks and one earned run. Griffin Dey had a two-run single in the top of the first to put the Bulldogs (33-16) ahead for good. Tim DeGraw and Andrew Herrera (HR) both had two hits one run and one RBI for Yale. Luis Alvarado had two hits and one RBI for the Cornhuskers (35-21).

After striking out three times earlier in the game, JJ Schwarz smacked a three-run homer in the eighth to help UF outscore Marist. Mike Rivers also knocked in three for the Gators (43-16). Randy Taveras had two hits and two RBI, while Tyler Kirkpatrick and Anthony Lazar both had two hits and two runs for the Red Foxes (32-22).
Duke Stunkel went 4 for 6 with a homer, three runs ad two RBI as USF scored seven times in the first four innigs of a win over B-CU. Chris Chatfield also homered and drove in two, and Coco Montes contributed two hits and two RBI for the Bulls (42-17). Phoenix Sanders picked up the win with seven scoreless innings, five hits and seven strikeouts. Chase DeBonis hit a solo homer for the Wildcats (33-24).

Brigham Hill (5.1 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 BB, 6 K) notched the win, while Kaylor Chafin allowed one hit over the final 3.2 innings to record the save. Aaron Dodson (2 for 3) had a grand slam in the third for the Bears (34-22).
Lexington Regional

Garrett Suggs had a leadoff double in the top of the 12th to snap a 5-5 tie and Brad Debo added an RBI single later in the frame as NCSU outlasted IU. The Hoosiers (33-23-2) threatened in the bottom of the 12th as Miller drew a two-out walk and scored on a triple by Dedelow. But a strikeout ended the game and kept the tying run at third. Debo and Will Wilson (2 R) both had two hits and two RBI for the Wolfpack (35-23). Luke Miller went 2 for 4 with two walks, four runs and two RBI, while Logan Sowers doubled twice and drove in a pair for IU.
Riley Mahan went 3 for 5 with one run and two RBI as UK held on against OU. Luke Becker had two hits and two runs for the Wildcats (40-20), who led 6-0 after six. Sean Hjelle (10-3, 7 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 3 K) earned the victory. Rudy Rott (2 for 4) had a three-run homer in the eighth for the Bearcats (31-27).
Long Beach Regional

Dave Smith was magnificent, allowing five hits and striking out one in a complete-game shutout, and Jarren Duran went 2 for 4 with a run and two RBI as Long Beach State opened with a win over San Diego State. The Dirtbags (38-17-1) scored three times in the first – mixing a pair of infield hits with a sacrifice bunt, double steal and RBI singles from Brock Lundquist and Luke Rasmussen – and that was more than enough for Smith, who picked the perfect time for his first career shutout and first career complete game. Long Beach moves on to face Texas, and the Aztecs (41-20) meet UCLA in an elimination game. Alan Trejo had two hits to lead SDSU.
Nolan Kingham allowed six hits with one earned run and six strikeouts, and Kacy Clemens hit a solo homer as Texas edged UCLA. Kingham (10-4) and Griffin Canning (7.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 6 K) were engaged in a pitchers’ duel throughout, with the Longhorns (38-22) scoring single runs in the fourth, seventh and eighth innings of the Bruins’ ace. Bret Boswell had a two-out RBI single to score Travis Jones in the seventh, and Jones delivered another two-out RBI single to make it 3-1 in the eighth. Beau Ridgeway came on for his 12th save for Texas. UCLA (30-26) got RBI singles from Jack Stronach and Ryan Kreidler.
Louisville Regional

No. 1 Louisville 11, No. 4 Radford 6
Cade Harris ripped a three-run double, and Brylie Ware added a two-run single as Oklahoma scored seven times in the seventh inning to overtake Xavier. Devon Perez tossed seven innings with six hits, two earned runs and seven strikeouts for the Sooners (35-22), who advance to meet top-seeded Louisville. Zac Lowther limited Oklahoma to the tune of two hits and seven strikeouts in six scoreless innings before the Sooners got hot in the seventh. Nate Soria had two hits and two RBI for the Musketeers (32-26), who will face Radford in an elimination game Saturday.
Josh Stowers went 3 for 3 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI as Louisville scored five late runs to break from a 6-6 tie against Radford. Jake Snider added two hits, including a homer, and three RBI for the Cardinals (47-10), who scored six times in the third for a 6-0 lead. But Adam Whitacre brought the Highlanders (27-30) back with a triple, homer and six RBI, tying the game in the sixth. Sam Bordner tossed 3.1 scoreless innings to pick up the win for the Cardinals.
Lubbock Regional

Orlando Garcia had a two-run homer in the eighth and scored three times as TTU topped UD. Hunter Hargrove had two hits and two runs for the Red Raiders (44-15). Caleb Kilian (3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) picked up the win in relief, while Parker Mushinski pitched a scoreless ninth with one strikeout to register the save. Nick Patten went 2 for 2 with two walks, one run and one RBI for the Blue Hens (34-22).
Robie Rojas ripped a three-run homer in the top of the sixth to snap a 1-1 deadlock to help SHSU nip UA. Rojas had two hits, while Clayton Harp added two hits and two runs for the Bearkats (41-20). Nick Mikolajchak fanned three of the final five hitters to earn the save. Alfonso Rivas went 3 for 5 with a double and one RBI for the Wildcats (37-20).
Stanford Regional
No. 3 BYU 6, No. 4 Sacramento State (Sacramento State eliminated)
No. 2 Cal State Fullerton 4, No. 1 Stanford 1
John Gavin allowed three hits and struck out 10 in seven innings of one-run ball as Cal State Fullerton won its winners’ bracket affair with Stanford. Sahid Valenzuela went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, run and RBI, and Chris Hudgins went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Titans (35-21). Jesse Kuet went 2 for 3 with the lone RBI for the Cardinal (41-14), who meet BYU Saturday in an elimination game.
Tanner Chauncey went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI as BYU eliminated Sacramento State. Hayden Rogers was masterful, allowing three hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts in 6.1 innings for the Cougars (37-20). James Outman drove in the lone run for the Hornets (32-28).
Clemson Regional

Weston Jackson went 1 for 4 with one run and two RBI as Clemson edged UNCG. The Tigers (40-19) scored four in the fifth and added the eventual game-winner in the eighth. Logan Davidson went 3 for 5 with one run and one RBI for Clemson. Alex Eubanks (7.2 IP, 7 H 3 R, BB, 5 K) recorded the victory, while Pat Krall (1 IP, H) notched the save. Cesar Trejo homered twice and Caleb Webster went deep once for the Spartans (35-23).
The St. John’s pitching staff came into the NCAA Tournament with some of the most impressive credentials in the country and a determination to prove they were worthy of one of the last at-large spots in the field of 64.
Vanderbilt changed all of that in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The first six batters reaching base off of Red Storm starter Sean Mooney, the Commodores (45-33-1) scored six runs in the inning en route to a 13-4 victory in the opening game of the Clemson Regional.
The St. John’s pitching staff ranked sixth in the country in ERA (2.97) coming into the regional and Mooney, the Big East Rookie and Pitcher of the Year, led the way with a 8-1 record and a 1.22 ERA.
Vanderbilt struck early in the first manufacturing a run after Will Toffey led off the inning with a double. The Red Storm (42-12) took a 3-1 lead thanks to a pair of clutch two-out hits. Michael Donadio scored John Valente on a single in the third before Valente scored a pair on a double in the fifth.
But it was all Commodores from there.
Toffey hit a 3-run homer and three more singles chased Mooney from the game. VU scored three more runs that inning on a single, fielder’s choice and sacrifice fly. They scored two more unearned runs in the sixth. In the 7th, Jeren Kendall and Julian Infante each had 2-run singles to cap off the scoring.
VU finished with 18 hits led by Toffey’s four and Infante’s three. Kendall had four RBIs to lead the Commodores.
Patrick Raby pitched seven solid innings for Vanderbilt allowing only six hits and one walk while striking out three to earn the win.
Mooney picked up the loss giving up seven runs, six earned on 10 hits in four-plus innings.
Winston-Salem Regional

Jake Mueller had a three-run double to highlight a six-run third as WFU thumped UMBC. Mueller had two hits and scored twice, while Stuart Fairchild (3 for 5, 2 2B) and Jonathan Pryor (2 for 4, 2B, 2 R) both knocked in a pair for the Demon Deacons (40-18). Connor Johnstone (7.2 IP, 10 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 7 K) earned the victory. Andrew Casali (3 for 4, 2 RBI) homered for the Retrievers (23-24).
Kyle Davis went 3 for 4 with two homers and three RBI, and Jimmy Galusky added two homers of his own as WVU ripped six homers in a win over Maryland. Cole Austin also homered among two hits and three RBI, and Ivan Gonzalez also went deep for the Mountaineers (35-24). BJ Myers allowed four hits in 5.2 scoreless innings of relief, and Alex Manoah contributed 3.1 innings of one-run ball. Zach Jancarski went 3 for 5 with an RBI to lead the Terrapins (37-22).
