Brian Mims had two hits and drove in five as UNCW downed Duke. The Seahawks (40-17) scored six in the second and five in the third to take control. Steven Linkous doubled and knocked in a pair, Robbie Thorburn had two runs and two RBI, and Daniel Stack added two hits and two runs for UNCW. Ryan Foster (13-1, 9 IP, 8 H, R, 2 BB, 2 K) recorded the victory. Chris Proctor tripled and scored for the Blue Devils (33-23).

Tyler Wilson fanned 11 in seven innings as URI surprised South Carolina. Wilson (13-1) gave up three of his four runs in the first. He worked around six hits and five walks. Tyler Barss pitched a hitless ninth with one strikeout to record the save. The Rams (31-25) erased a 4-0 deficit with two in the fourth and three in the fifth. Brett McManus homered and drove in three to lead the Ram offense. Gene Cone and Alex Destino (1 for 2, 2 BB, 2 RBI) both went deep for the Gamecocks (42-16).

Following more than six hours delay due to inclement weather, Jared Poche’ struck out eight in six innings as LSU topped UVU. Poche’ (8-4) allowed five hits and a run. Greg Deichmann (2 for 4, 3 RBI) and Jake Fraley (1 for 4, 2 RBI) both homered for the Tigers (43-18). Mark Krueger had two hits and a run for the Wolverines (37-22).

Charlottesville

Ernie Clement went 2 for 6 with a triple, his first homer of the year and four RBI, and Adam Haseley went 3 for 4 with a double, triple, three runs and three RBI as Virginia rolled past William & Mary. Jack Gerstenmaier also hit his first homer, going 2 for 3 with three RBI as the Cavaliers (38-20) led 8-0 after four and totaled 20 hits on the day. Alec Bettinger (3-5) tossed six innings with six hits and two earned runs for Virginia. Ryan Hall homered and drove in two, and Ryder Miconi had three hits and a run for the Tribe (29-30).

Clemson

Thomas Hatch tossed seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts, and Conor Costello went 3 for 4 with a homer and four RBI as Oklahoma State topped Nebraska. Garrett Benge and Costello had RBI singles as the Cowboys (37-20) took a 2-0 lead. Costello’s two-run homer in the third made it 4-0. J.R. Davis went 3 for 5 with two runs and an RBI for OSU. Jake Meyers and Scott Schreiber each had two hits for the Cornhuskers (37-21).

Chris Okey went 3 for 4 with three walks, two homers, four runs and four RBI as Clemson outscored WCU. The Tigers (43-18) used 14 hits and 17 walks to plate 24 runs, including 10 in the third. Chris Williams also went deep, scored three and drove in five for Clemson. Caleb Robinson homered and drove in four for the Catamounts (30-30).

College Station

Parker Dunshee fanned 11 in 7.2 innings as WFU defeated UM. Dunshee (10-5) allowed five hits, one walk and two runs. Will Craig retired the final two hitters to record his ninth save. The Demon Deacons (35-25) built a 5-0 lead after six. Joey Rodriguez went 2 for 5 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for WFU. Kevin Conway (2 for 4) and Johnny Aiello both went deep for the Deacs. Matt Fiedler (1 for 4, 2 RBI) and Jordan Smith (1 for 4) both had dingers for the Golden Gophers (34-21).

Jonathan Moroney went 3 for 3 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Texas A&M edged Binghamton. Kyle Simonds (10-3, 5.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, BB, 5 K) earned the win, while Mark Ecker fanned one in a scoreless ninth to register his seventh save. Eddie Posavec had two hits and one RBI for the Bearcats (30-24).

Coral Gables

Chris Mathewson allowed two hits and one earned run in 6.2 innings, and Long Beach State got contributions up and down the lineup in a win over FAU. Garrett Hampson and Luke Rasmussed each had two hits and an RBI, and Jarren Duran and Daniel Jackson each added two hits and a run for the 49ers (37-20). Esteban Puerta had a solo homer for the Owls (38-18).

Randy Batista snapped a 2-2 tie by scoring on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth as Miami nipped Stetson. Carl Chester doubled and scored for the Hurricanes (46-11). John Fussell had two hits and a run for the Hatters (29-30).

Fort Worth

Brandon Bailey allowed one run in seven innings as Gonzaga downed ASU. Bailey (10-3) gave up five hits and one walk with five strikeouts. The Bulldogs (36-19) scored their five runs over the first three frames. Taylor Jones went 2 for 5 with a double, a run and two RBI for the Zags. Andrew Shaps had two hits and a run for the Sun Devils (34-22).

Mitchell Traver and three relievers combined on the shutout as TCU blanked ORU. Traver (1-1) allowed two hits and a walk in five innings with four strikeouts. Cam Warner homered and knocked in two for the Horned Frogs (43-15). Noah Cummings doubled for the Golden Eagles (38-20).

Gainesville

#3 Connecticut 7, #2 Georgia Tech 6

Willy Yahn went 3 for 5 with two RBI as Connecticut built a 7-0 lead with seven runs in the second and held on for dear life to top Georgia Tech. Patrick Ruotolo relieved in the eighth to help limit the Yellow Jackets (36-24) to two runs in the eighth, then worked in and out of trouble as Tech scored two more and had the tying and go-ahead runners on base. Tim Cate tossed six innings with three hits and two earned runs, and Tyler Gnesda added two RBI for the Huskies (38-23). Matt Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with a double, homer and four RBI for Georgia Tech.

Peter Alonso went 3 for 4 with two homers, three runs and three RBI as Florida beat B-CU. Danny Reyes had two hits and three RBI for the Gators (48-13). Demetrius Sims had two hits and one RBI for the Wildcats (29-26).

Lafayette

Nathan Bannister hurled seven scoreless innings as Arizona stopped SHSU. Bannister (10-2) gave up four hits and three walks while striking out four. The Wildcats (39-20) used home runs by Ryan Aguilar (2 for 4, 3 RBI), JJ Matijevic and Bobby Dalbec (2 for 4) to build a 7-0 lead. It was the first postseason game for Arizona since it beat South Carolina in the national championship game in 2012. Andrew Fregia had two hits, including a double, and two RBI for the Bearkats (41-21).

Louisville

Jalen Washington had a game-winning RBI single with two away to cap a two-run bottom of the ninth as OSU edged WSU. The Buckeyes (44-18-1) snapped a scoreless tie with five in the third before the Raiders (44-16) took the lead with two in the fourth and four in the fifth.  Ronnie Dawson went 2 for 5 with a double, two runs ad three RBI, while Troy Montgomery was 4 for 4 with a double and two RBI for OSU. Kyle Michalik (4-1) retired the final five batters to pick up the victory. Ryan Fucci had two hits and drove in three for WSU.

Kyle Funkhouser allowed one run in eight innings as Louisville downed WMU. Funkhouser (9-3) allowed four hits and three walks with six strikeouts. Blake Tiberi (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) homered for the Cardinals (48-12). Drew Farmer had two hits and a run for the Broncos (22-33).

Lubbock

Tyler Neslony had two hits and drove in four as Texas Tech thumped Fairfield. The Red Raiders (42-16) built on a 3-1 lead with three in the fourth, sixth and eighth. Cory Raley (2 for 3, 2B) drove in three, while Stephen Smith went 3 for 3 with two runs for TTU. Davis Martin (9-0, 7 IP, 5 H, R, 2 BB, 4 K) picked up the win. Brendan Tracy had two hits for the Stags (33-24).

Luis Gonzalez went 4 for 4 and drove in five to lead UNM past DBU. The Lobos (39-21) scored in five of the first six innings in building a 7-0 lead. Jameson homered and knocked in four for the Patriots (41-18).

Nashville

Austin Bush belted a game-winning homer in the bottom of the 14th as UCSB outlasted Washington. Devon Gradford (2 for 5) went deep and knocked in two for the Gauchos (38-18-1). MJ Hubbs had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for the Huskies (32-22).

Oxford

#3 Boston College 7, #2 Tulane 2

Justin Dunn tossed seven innings with five hits, two runs and 11 strikeouts as Boston College knocked off Tulane. Jake Palomaki drove in three, and Donovan Casey contributed two hits and two runs for the Eagles. Hunter Williams had a triple and two RBI for the Green Wave.

Hunter Simmons delivered an RBI double to score pinch-runner Chandler Anderson as Utah squeaked past Ole Miss in the 10th inning. Kellen Marruffo singled before Anderson replaced him and moved up on a passed ball. Simmons finished 3 for 4, and Josh Rose went 2 for 5 with three RBI for the Utes. Riley Otteson tossed three innings of relief with a hit and four strikeouts for Utah. Will Golsan led the Rebels with two hits and two RBI.

Raleigh

Andrew Beckwith tossed 6.2 innings with six hits and an earned run and Connor Owings drove in two as Coastal Carolina slipped past Saint Mary’s. Bobby Holmes finished for the Chanticleers, who got three hits from Billy Cooke. Andrew Gonsolin had two hits and a solo homer, and Nate Nolan had two hits and an RBI for the Gaels.

Chance Shepard homered and drove in four as NC State totaled four homers on the night and battled through a long weather delay to beat Navy. Andrew Knizner (3 for 5, 2 R, 3 RBI), Preston Palmeiro (2 RBI) and Brett Kinneman also homered, and Brock Deatherage added three hits and two runs for the Wolfpack. Robert Currie and Sean Trent each had two hits and an RBI for the Midshipmen.

Starkville

Brent Rooker homered twice and knocked in four as MSU defeated SEMO. The Bulldogs (42-16-1) scored three in the third to knot the score at 4-4 and added three in the sixth to take a 7-5 lead. Jack Kruger (2 for 5, 2 RBI) also went deep for MSU. Daniel Brown (4-2) pitched 3.1 hitless innings of relief with one walk and four strikeouts to earn the victory. Chris Osborne and Branden Boggetto both had two hits, one run and one RBI for the Redhawks (39-20).

Kirk McCarty tossed six scoreless innings with three hits, and Hunter Slater had two hits and three RBI as Southern Miss used an 11-run inning to rout South Alabama. Dylan Burdeaux, Chase Scott and Nick Dawson each had two RBI for the Golden Eagles (41-18), whose 11-run sixth inning made it 14-0. Brendan Donovan and Ben Gann had two hits apiece for USA (40-21).

Dylan Busby was a home run short of the cycle, going 3 for 6 with three runs and five RBI as FSU flattened ASU. The Seminoles (38-20) scored seven in the first, three in the fourth and seven in the seventh. Taylor Wells and Quincy Nieporte both had three hits and two RBI for FSU. Diandre Amion had a two-run homer for the Hornets (38-20).
