Lucas Moore’s RBI single capped a two-run bottom of the 10th as UL rallied past UT. Adrian Rodriguez went deep in the top of the 10th to give the Longhorns (0-1) a 3-2 edge. A base hit by Zion Rose in the bottom of the frame tied it at 3-3 to set the table for Moore. Patrick Forbes fanned 11 in five innings for the Cardinals (1-0). Will Gasparino had a two-run dinger in the second for UT.

Hunter Elliott tossed five scoreless innings as Ole Miss edged UA. Elliott (1-0) allowed two hits and struck out three. Connor Spencer worked around three walks over the final 1.1 innings to record his first save. Luke Hill had a sacrifice fly in the fifth to break the scoreless tie and Isaac Humphrey followed with a homer to give the Rebels (1-0) a 2-0 lead. Mason White went deep in the eighth for the Wildcats (0-1).

Josh Paino scored the eventual game-winner on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh as Clemson came back to nip OSU. Nolan Schubart had a two-run double to cap a three-run third and the Cowboys (0-1) added one in the fourth to take a 4-1 advantage. The Tigers (1-0) countered with two in the fifth, one in the sixth and two in the seventh. Dominic Listi went 1 for 2 with a walk, two runs and one RBI for Clemson. Nathan Dvorsky (1-0) worked a 1-2-3 seventh to pick up the win, while Lucas Mahlstedt pitched two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts to record the save. Brock Thompson doubled twice and scored once for OSU.

Michigan 5, No. 4 Virginia 4 (11) [box score]
In the first game of the Puerto Rico Challenge, Matt Spear delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th as UM edged UVA. Spear (3 for 5) belted a two-run dinger in the sixth that gave the Wolverines (1-0) a 4-2 advantage. Chris Arroyo (2 for 4, 3 RBI) smacked a two-run homer in the seventh for the Cavaliers (0-1) that knotted the score at 4-4. Mitch Voit was 2 for 4 with a double, two runs and one RBI for UM. Gavin Devooght (1-0) pitched 2.1 hitless innings with one walk and two strikeouts to earn the victory. Erin Becker had three hits and scored twice for UVA.

Cincinnati 8, No. 12 Duke 3 [box score]
In Durham, N.C., Joel Pineiro tossed four scoreless innings of relief and Cal Sefcik delivered a pair of sacrifice flies as UC won at Duke. Pineiro (1-0) allowed three hits and two walks while fanning three. Kerrington Cross (2 for 5, 2 R) and Landyn Vidourek (2 RBI) both went deep for the Bearcats (1-0), who turned three double plays. Ben Miller, Andrew Yu and Tyler Albright had solo homers for the Blue Devils (0-1).

No. 1 Texas A&M 4, Elon 2 [box score]
In Bryan-College Station, Texas, Ryan Prager pitched five scoreless innings with eight punchouts as TAMU opened the Michael Earley era with a win over Elon. Prager allowed one hit and walked a pair. Weston Moss (2 IP, H, BB) picked up the win and Clayton Freshcorn (1.1 IP, BB, K) notched his first save. Alex Duffey had a two-run double in the top of the sixth to give the Phoenix (0-1) the lead. The Aggies (1-0) used a pair of bases-loaded walks and a wild pitch in the bottom of the frame to take a 3-2 lead. Blake Binderup (2 for 3, 2 R) went deep in the eighth for an insurance run.

No. 2 LSU 14, Purdue Fort Wayne 0 [box score]
In Baton Rouge, La., Daniel Dickinson went 3 for 5 with a double, a run and five RBI to lead LSU past PFW. The Tigers (1-0) plated five in the first to take control. Kade Anderson (1-0) allowed four hits and one walk while fanning eight. Four LSU hurlers combined for 17 strikeouts. Brooks Sailors went 1 for 2 for the Mastodons (0-1).

In Knoxville, Tenn., Dean Curley went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as UT hammered Hofstra. Liam Doyle (1-0) allowed one hit over five innings with no walks and 11 strikeouts to earn the win for the Vols (1-0). Dylan Palmer had the lone hit for the Pride (0-1).

In Fayetteville, Ark., Brent Iredale delivered a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th to cap a two-run rally and spark Arkansas to a doubleheader sweep of WSU. Gabe Gaeckle tossed five scoreless innings with one hit, one walk and seven strikeouts in the opener for the Razorbacks (2-0). Ryan Helfrick went 1 for 2 with two walks and a run for the victors. Logan Johnstone was 2 for 4 with a dinger for the Cougars (0-2). Iredale with 3 for 4 in the nightcap with a double, two runs and four RBI for the Hogs. Jonah Shull had two hits and scored once for WSU.

In Tallahassee, Fla., Drew Faurot belted a three-run homer in the third as FSU blanked JMU to kick off the 2025 season. Jamie Arnold (1-0) allowed one hit, did not walk a batter and fanned eight in six innings to record the win for the Seminoles (1-0). John Abraham also struck out eight over the final three frames with one hit and one walk to register his first save. Jack Guerrero and Eli Steadman had hits for the Dukes (0-1).

In Surprise, Ariz., Aiva Arquette launched a two-run homer in the seventh to snap a 3-3 tie as OSU topped XU. Jacob Krieg and Wilson Weber also went deep for the Beavers (1-0). Isaac Wachsmann homered for the Musketeers (0-1) in the top of the seventh for a 3-1 lead.

In Athens, Ga., Paul Farley tossed five innings of scoreless relief as UGA defeated QU. Farley (1-0) allowed one hit, walked two and struck out three. Ryland Zabrorowski (1 for 3, 2B) and Devin Obee (1 for 2, HR, 2 R) both knocked in three for the Bulldogs (1-0). Johnny Knox went 1 for 3 with a triple, a walk, a steal and a run for Bobcats (0-1).
