In Orlando, Fla., Carl Chester went 3 for 5 with a double and two runs as Miami won at UCF. The Hurricanes (14-3) snapped a 2-2 tie with a run in the fifth before adding insurance runs in the eighth and ninth. Jesse Lepore (3-0, 5.0 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 4 BB, 3 K) picked up the win, while Bryan Garcia allowed one hit and fanned one in the ninth for his sixth save. Eugene Vazquez went 3 for 4 with a double, a run and an RBI for the Knights (10-8).

In Baton Rouge, La., Jordan Romero delivered a two-run single in the fifth to break a 2-2 deadlock as LSU outscored New Orleans.
