In College Station, Texas, Ethan Small tossed seven hitless innings as MSU won the SEC series opener at TAMU. Small (6-1) walked one and struck out eight. Jared Liebelt allowed one hit over the final two frames. Justin Foscue went 2 for 4 with one run and two RBI for the Bulldogs (14-8, 37-9). Ty Coleman had the lone hit for the Aggies (11-10-1, 31-16-1), a double with two away in the eighth.

In Phoenix, Ariz., Ryan Garcia fanned eight in 7.0 innings as UCLA edged ASU to kick off their Pac-12 series. Garcia (6-0) allowed six hits, two walks and two runs. Holden Powell struck out four over the final two hitless innings to record his 14th save. Kevin Kendall had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for the Bruins (15-4, 36-7). Lyle Lin had three hits for the Sun Devils (13-9, 32-11).

No. 12 LSU 8, No. 15 Ole Miss 3

In Baton Rouge, La., Daniel Cabrera had a two-run homer to highlight a four-run eighth as LSU topped Ole Miss in their SEC series lid-lifter. Josh Smith (3 for 4, 2 R) had a two-run single in the third to put the Tigers (14-8, 30-16) ahead to stay. Zack Hess (3-3, 4 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 7 K) earned the win in relief. Tyler Keenan had three hits for the Rebels (13-9, 30-17).

No. 2 Stanford 8, USC 3

In Los Angeles,  Andrew Daschbach had a two-run homer in the third to snap a 3-3 tie as Stanford took the Pac-12 series opener at USC. Daschbach went 2 for 2 with two runs, while Nick Bellafronto also knocked in two for the Cardinal (16-3, 33-7). Ben Ramirez had a two-run triple in the first for the Trojans (8-10-1, 19-23-1).

No. 3 Vanderbilt 22, South Carolina 11

In Columbia, S.C., Julian Infante belted a grand slam and knocked in six as Vandy outscored USC to begin their SEC set. Infante had an RBI single in a seven-run fourth, a run-scoring single to cap an nine-run sixth, and a grand slam in a five-run seventh for the Commodores (16-6, 36-9). Austin Martin went 3 for 4 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI for VU. Luke Berryhill and Jacob Olson both homered and drove in four for the Gamecocks (5-17, 24-21).

Oklahoma State 1, No. 4 Oregon State 0

In Corvallis, Ore., Jensen Elliott and Peyton Battenfield combined on a two-hit shutout as Oklahoma State nipped Oregon State in their series opener. Elliott (6-3) allowed two hits and two walks in seven innings with four strikeouts to pick up the win. Battenfield tossed two hitless innings with three punchouts to record his first save. Alex Garcia had an RBI single in the seventh for the Cowboys (26-16). Tyler Malone and Zack Zalesky both had hits for the Beavers (31-12-1).

In Lexington, Ky., Isaiah Campbell allowed one run over seven innings as Arkansas claimed the SEC series opener at UK. Campbell (8-1) gave up five hits with no walks and six strikeouts. Matt Cronin tossed two hitless innings with two walks and four strikeouts to register his 10th save. Dominic Fletcher knocked in two, while Casey Martin (2 for 5, 2 R) homered for the Razorbacks (16-6, 36-11). Ryan Johnson and Cam Hill both had two hits for the Wildcats (5-17, 22-23).

In Notre Dame, Ind., Reid Detmers allowed one hit over seven scoreless innings as UL won its ACC series opener at ND. Detmers (9-2) walked four and fanned seven. Michael McAvene struck out three over the final 1.1 innings to record his fifth save. Zach Britton had an RBI single in the second and Tyler Fitzgerald delivered a run-scoring single in the fifth for the Cardinals (16-6, 37-9). Spencer Myers and Daniel Jung had hits for the Fighting Irish (12-13, 19-24).

In Athens, Ga., Cam Shepherd and Chaney Rogers both drove in two as UGA edged UF in their SEC series opener. Tony Locey (8-1, 6 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 6 K) earned the win for the Bulldogs (14-8, 35-12), while Zac Kristofak (2 IP, 2 H, R, BB, 2 K) recorded his sixth save. Brady Smith had two hits and two runs for the Gators (9-13, 28-19).

No. 13 UC Santa Barbara 16, CSUN 7

In Northridge, Calif., Thomas Rowan homered twice as UCSB outscored CSUN to kick off their Big West series. Rowan scored three runs and knocked in three, while Tevin Mitchell had three hits, including a homer, and three runs for the Gauchos (10-3, 34-7). Brandon Bohning homered and drove in three, while Denzel Clarke went 3 for 4 with two home runs for the Matadors (6-10, 19-24).

In Cincinnati, Jake Agnos tossed six scoreless innings with three hits and eight strikeouts, and Alec Burleson went 2 for 4 with a double, three runs and two RBI as East Carolina won the first game of a doubleheader with Cincinnati. Jake Washer added two hits and two RBI, and Thomas Francisco contributed two RBI for the Pirates. Cole Murphy went 2 for 2 with a run and an RBI for the Bearcats. In the second game, Bryant Packard drove in three, and Spencer Brickhouse added two hits and two runs as East Carolina (15-2, 35-11) completed the sweep. Jake Mercer doubled and drove in two for Cincinnati (11-9, 22-24).

In Atlanta, Jackson Webb went 4 for 6 with a homer, three runs and three RBI, and Kyle McCann (2 for 4, 3 R) and Tristin English (2 for 3, 2 R) also homered and drove in three as Georgia Tech steamrolled Western Carolina. Jamie Taylor contributed three RBI off the bench, and Austin Wilhite scored three and drove in two for the Yellow Jackets (31-14). Matthew Koehler homered twice and drove in three for the Catamounts (18-23).

In Norman, Okla., Cameron Warren homered twice and knocked in four as TTU topped OU to begin their Big 12 series. Warren had a solo shot in the sixth, and his three-run blast in the seventh put the Red Raiders (12-7, 31-14) ahead for good at 7-6. Josh Jung had three hits, two doubles and four runs for TTU. Brady Lindsly went 3 for 5 with a homer and four RBI for the Sooners (8-8, 30-16).

In Waco, Texas, Baylor and Kansas State were tied at 3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when the game was delayed until Saturday because of weather.

TCU 14, No. 19 West Virginia 5

In Morgantown, W.Va., Johnny Rizer homered twice and drove in four, and Zach Humphreys added two hits, two runs and three RBI as TCU erupted for 10 runs in the seventh inning to break from a 4-3 game with West Virginia. Rizer went 3 for 6 and delivered a two-run single in the big inning. Humphreys, Conner Shepherd and Adam Oviedo also had two-run hits in the inning for the Horned Frogs (7-9, 25-19). Darius Hill went 2 for 5 with a homer and three RBI for the Mountaineers (10-9, 27-16).

No. 20 NC State 6, Radford 3

In Raleigh, N.C., Brad Debo had a two-run double as part of a three-run seventh inning to help NC State get past Radford. Evan Edwards contributed a two-run double earlier in the game, and Will Wilson went 2 for 3 with a run and two RBI for the Wolfpack (35-12). Spencer Horwitz went 2 for 4 with a run for the Highlanders (23-22).
