In Santa Barbara, Calif., Thomas Rowan homered twice and drove in three as UCSB edged UCI to kick off their Big West series. Rowan had an RBI single in the first to tie the game at 1-1, and added solo shots in the third and eighth for the Gauchos (3-1, 25-5). Ben Brecht (7-0, 7.2 IP, 3 H, R, 2 BB, 8 K) earned the win, while Michael McGreevy (1.1 IP, H) recorded his fifth save. Brandon Lewis had an RBI single in the first for the Anteaters (5-2, 21-7).

In Los Angeles, after hitting a three-run homer in the sixth to level the score at 5-5, Michael Toglia broke the deadlock with a two-run double in the eighth as UCLA edged ECU in their series opener. Cardenas went deep in the third to give the Bruins (25-6) a 2-1 advantage. Spencer Brickhouse had a two-run single and Alec Burleson (3 for 4, 3 RBI) knocked in two with a double in the fourth as the Pirates (25-8) took a 5-2 advantage. Nate Hadley (5-0) retired the six batters he faced over the seventh and eighth innings with four strikeouts to record the victory. Holden Powell (H, BB, K) worked out of a bases-loaded situation in the ninth for his ninth save.

In Nashville, Tenn., Drake Fellows fanned nine over seven innings as Vandy nipped Arkansas to kick off their SEC series. Fellows (7-0, 7 H, R, 2 BB) outdueled Isaiah Campbell (6-1, 7.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 9 K). Tyler Brown retired the final five hitters with three punchouts to register his seventh save. Austin Martin went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and a run for the Commodores (8-5, 26-8), who scored two in the fourth and one in the sixth after the visitors took a 1-0 advantage in the second. Jack Kenley went 2 for 2 with two walks and a run for the Razorbacks (8-5, 25-9).

In Phoenix, Ariz., Alex Marsh tossed a three-hitter with nine strikeouts as ASU took the Pac-12 series opener from OSU. Marsh (8-1) surrendered one earned run and walked one. Trevor Hauver .knocked in two for the Sun Devils (10-3, 27-5) with an RBI single in the second and a walk with the bases loaded in the seventh. Alex McGarry (1 for 2, BB) homered in the second for the Beavers (9-4, 23-8-1).
In Knoxville, Tenn., Garrett Stallings tossed a five-hit shutout as UT blanked UGA for the second straight day to clinch an SEC series win. Stallings (6-2) walked one and struck out five. Justin Ammons had two sacrifice flies, while Alerick Soularie had three hits, including a double, for the Volunteers (6-8, 26-10). LJ Talley went 1 for 3 with a walk for the Bulldogs (9-5, 28-8).

In Stanford, Calif., Brendan Beck tossed six innings with three hits, one earned run and six strikeouts, and Brandon Wulff homered and drove in two as Stanford beat Washington. Andrew Daschbach (2 for 4, 2 R) hit a solo homer, and Kyle Stowers contributed two hits and two runs as the Cardinal (8-2, 22-5) scored four runs to extend its lead to 7-0 in the fourth. Connor Blair hit a solo homer for the Huskies (4-8, 15-13).

In Starkville, Miss., Ethan Small racked up 15 strikeouts in six scoreless innings, and Jordan Westburg launched a three-run homer as Mississippi State blanked Alabama. Small (4-0) allowed three hits and three walks in a dominant performance and got help from Elijah MacNamee and Brad Cumbest, each of whom delivered two hits and an RBI. Tanner Allen and Gunner Halter added two hits and a run for the Bulldogs (8-5, 29-6). The Crimson Tide fell to 4-9, 23-12.

In Columbia, Mo., Antoine Duplantis’ fielder’s choice scored Josh Smith with the game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning as LSU squeaked past Missouri. Cade Beloso (3 for 5) and Brand Broussard (2 for 5, R) each drove in three runs, and Zach Watson went 2 for 5 with a homer, three runs and two RBI for the Tigers (9-4, 24-11). LSU starter Zack Hess left the game after two batters with a groin injury, and Missouri (5-7-1, 23-12-1) piled up six runs in the frame to take a 6-3 lead. Chad McDaniel went 2 for 4 with a homer, three runs and three RBI, and Thomas Broyles (2 for 5, 2 R) and Peter Zimmerman each added two RBI for Missouri.
In College Station, Texas, John Doxakis tossed eight scoreless innings, and Mikey Hoehner drove in two as Texas A&M slipped past Auburn, giving ace Tanner Burns his first loss of the year. Doxakis (4-2) allowed seven hits and two walks and struck out six, and Morris Chandler went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI, with Braden Shewmake added two hits and a run for the Aggies (8-4-1, 26-9-1). Burns (4-1) allowed three earned runs and five hits with seven strikeouts in six innings for the Tigers (7-6, 23-11).
In Oxford, Miss., Cole Zabowski went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer and four RBI, Will Ethridge struck out 11 in seven scoreless innings as Ole Miss topped Kentucky. Grae Kessinger went 4 for 5 with a homer, three runs and two RBI, and Anthony Servideo went 3 for 3 with two RBI as the Rebels (9-4, 25-10) pounded out 14 hits. Coltyn Kessler went 2 for 4 with a run for the Wildcats (2-11, 18-16).

In Austin, Texas, Chris Ceballos homered and drove in two, and Thomas Hughes drove in two as Kansas State upended Texas. Zach Kokoska added two hits, a run and an RBI, and Dylan Phillips contributed two hits and a run for the Wildcats (2-5, 15-20). Griffin Hassall allowed one hit over five innings to pick up the win, and Will Brennan earned his fourth save with four strikeouts in two innings. Masen Hibbeler had two hits, a run and an RBI, and Austin Todd drove in a run and scored twice for the Longhorns (4-5, 22-14).

In Morgantown, W.Va., Alek Manoah tossed a four-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts as WVU blanked TTU in the Big 12 series opener. Manoah (5-2) did not allow a walk and faced four over the minimum. Darius Hill (1 for 4, 2B) scored both runs for the Mountaineers (5-5, 21-12), one in the first and the second in the third. Gabe Holt had three of the four hits for the Red Raiders (5-5, 22-10).
Florida State 6, No. 16 Clemson 2
In Tallahassee, Fla., Drew Parrish fanned 12 in eight scoreless innings as FSU knocked off CU to begin their ACC series. Parrish (4-3) allowed three hits and walked one. Drew Mendoza had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in three for the Seminoles (8-8, 20-13). Logan Davidson went deep for the Tigers (11-5, 25-9).
Boston College 9, No. 20 Georgia Tech 2
In Brighton, Mass., Cody Morissette had three hits and four RBI as BC beat GT to start their ACC series. Morissette had a two-run double in the fifth and a two-run single in the seventh. Jake Alu had two doubles, a triple and three runs for the Eagles (7-9, 18-17). Dan Metzdorf (4-2, 6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 6 K) earned the win. Baron Radcliff had two hits and one RBI for the Yellow Jackets (9-7, 22-12).
