In Conway, S.C., Kieton Rivers homered twice, scored three and drove in five as Coastal Carolina split its two-games series with UNCW. Rivers had a two-run shot in the bottom of the second to erase a 1-0 deficit. His three-run dinger in the third gave the Chanticleers (19-6-1) a 6-1 advantage. Anthony Veneziano (3-0, 7 IP, 3 H, 2 R, ER, BB, 9 K) earned the victory. Kep Brown went deep for the Seahawks (15-11).
No. 4 NC State 12, North Carolina A&T 3
In Greensboro, N.C., Will Wilson went 2 for 4 with a double, a homer, three runs and four RBI as NC State won at North Carolina A&T. Patrick Bailey (2 for 5, 4 RBI) and Vojtech Mensik (4 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Wolfpack (25-1). Cameron Cotter (2-0, 5.2 IP, 5 H, R, 5 K) earned the win in relief. Camden Williamson went 2 for 2 with two RBI for the Aggies (15-10).
In Charlottesville, Va., Cameron Simmons had a two-run single to cap a three-run fourth as UVa defeated UR. Hipsman had an RBI groundout in the top of the second for the Spiders (11-9-1) before the Cavaliers (15-10) put up two in the second and three in the fourth. Tanner Morris (1 for 2, 2B, 3 BB, R, RBI) reached base four times for UVa. Grant Donahue (1-0, 3 IP, 3 H, BB, 4 K) earned the win in relief. Tyler Plantier had two hits for UR.
In Bloomington, Ind., Pavin Parks scored on a wild pitch in the top of the 12th as KSU outlasted IU. Parks drew a one-out walk and moved to second when Kian O’Brien walked. Both runners moved up on a passed ball and Parks came home on a wild pitch, his third run of the game. The Hoosiers (15-9) put two on with one away in the bottom of the 12th, but a strikeout and a fielder’s choice ended the contest. Parks (1-0, 4.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, BB, 8 K) also picked up the win. The Golden Flashes (10-13) put up two in the top of the 11th before Wyatt Cross belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the frame to keep the game going. Cam Touchette went 1 for 3 with a double and three RBI for KSU. Matt Lloyd, Elijah Dunham and Cole Barr also went deep for IU.
