In Mesa, Ariz., Drew Beam tossed six scoreless innings with six strikeouts as UT blanked UCSD. Beam (1-0) had three hits and did not allow a walk. Christian Moore and Blake Burke (2 for 4, 2 R) both homered for the Vols (1-2). Doyle Kane had two hits for the Tritons (1-2).

In Arlington, Texas, a night after allowing 18 runs to TCU, Jared Wegner went 2 for 4 with a three-run triple and a two-run homer for five RBI as Arkansas (2-1) routed Oklahoma State (1-2) at the College Baseball Showdown. Tavian Josenberger went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI to lead five Razorbacks with two RBI apiece.

In Gainesville, Fla., Ty Evans had a pair of two-run doubles, one in the first and another in a five-run seventh, as Florida completed a sweep of Charleston Southern. Jac Caglianone struck out nine and allowed two hits in 6.2 scoreless innings for the Gators (3-0).

In College Station, Texas, Trevor Werner homered and drove in three, and Kaeden Kent contributed three RBI off the bench as Texas A&M swept Seattle. Chris Cortez allowed two runs over six innings for the Aggies (3-0). Trevor Antonson went 3 for 4 with an RBI for the Redhawks (0-3).

Blake Cyr had two hits and an RBI, and reliever Andrew Walters worked two scoreless innings with one hit and five strikeouts for the Hurricanes (2-1).
