In Raleigh, N.C., Tyler McDonough had an RBI single with two away in the bottom of the ninth as NC State stayed undefeated and clinched an ACC series win over FSU. McDonough went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI. Brad Debo had a three-run homer in the eighth for the Wolfpack (5-0, 19-0) to tie the game at 8-8. NCSU tied a program record for consecutive wins to start a season, set in 1990. Mike Salvatore (4 for 5, 3 R, 4 RBI) hit for the cycle for the Seminoles (2-3, 13-4).

In Los Angeles, Alex McGarry had an RBI single to snap a 3-3 tie in the top of the ninth as OSU evened its Pac-12 series with UCLA. McGarry (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) homered in the seventh to tie the game at 3-3. Following McGarry’s base hit in the ninth, Adley Rutschman (2 for 3, 2 BB, 3 RBI) added a two-run single and scored on an error for the Beavers (1-1 14-2-1). Brandon Eisert (5-0, 4.2 IP, 3 H, 10 K) earned the win in a domination relief effort. Matt McLain went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple, one run and two RBI for the Bruins (1-1, 13-4).

In Gainesville, Fla., Jake Mangum homered in the opener and drove in two as MSU clinched an SEC series win at UF. Mangum (3 for 5, 2 2B, 2 R) went deep in the first and added an RBI double in the fifth. Tanner Allen (2 for 5, 2 R) and Elijah MacNamee (3 for 5, 2B, 2 R) also went deep for the Bulldogs (2-1, 18-2). Kris Armstrong homered in the ninth for the Gators (1-2, 15-7). In the nightcap, Tyler Dyson (3-0, 6 IP, 6 H, 2 R, BB, K) earned the win and Christian Scott (2.1 IP, H, 3 K) recorded his first save as UF salvaged the finale of its SEC series. Nelson Maldonado (3 for 4, 2 R, 2B) homered for the Gators. Josh Hatcher went 2 for 2 with a double and a run for MSU.

In Austin, Texas, Caleb Kilian and Clayton Beeter combined on a one-hit shutout as Texas Tech evened its Big 12 series with Texas. Cody Masters delivered a two-run single in a three-run eighth inning for the Red Raiders. Kilian allowed one hit in seven innings with four strikeouts. Blair Henley pitched well in defeat, working seven innings with three hits, two earned runs and six strikeouts for the Longhorns.

In College Station, Texas, Jonathan Ducoff had a RBI single in the bottom of the ninth as TAMU rallied past Vandy to even their SEC series. Ethan Paul (2 for 3, 5 RBI) had a three-run homer in the fifth to start the scoring for the Commodores (1-1, 15-4), and a two-run dinger in the seventh by Austin Martin gave Vandy a 7-2 lead. In the eighth, Ducoff had a two-run single and Cam Blake added a bases-clearing triple as the Aggies (1-1, 16-5) tied the game at 7-7. Kasey Kalich (1-0, 1 IP, H, 2 BB, 2 K) earned the victory.
Alabama 8, No. 9 Ole Miss 6
In Oxford, Miss., on a day when Alabama and Ole Miss combined to use 13 pitchers, Joe Breaux went 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBI, and Drew Williamson added two RBI as the Crimson Tide evened its series with the Rebels. Kolby Robinson added three hits, a run and an RBI for the Tide. Anthony Servideo went 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI for the Rebels.
In Durham, N.C., Zach Britton had an RBI single in the top of the eighth to snap a 1-1 tie as UL clinched an ACC series win at Duke. Nick Bennett (4-0, 7 IP, 6 H, R, BB, 4 K) was the winner, while Michael McAvene hurled two perfect innings with four punchouts to claim his first save for the Cardinals (4-1, 15-4). Chase Cheek had two hits for the Blue Devils (2-3, 12-7).

In Baton Rouge, La., Zach Watson went 4 for 4 with four runs and five RBI in the nightcap after scoring the game-winner in the 12th in the opener as LSU swept an SEC doubleheader from UK. Watson was a triple short of the cycle as he singled and scored in the first, had a sacrifice fly in a six-run second, singled and scored in the third, and delivered a three-run homer in a five-run fourth as the Tigers (2-0, 14-5) built a 14-3 lead. Trent Vietmeier (4 IP, 5 H, R, BB, 6 K) saved the game for Cole Henry (1-0, 5 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 4 BB, 6 K). Dalton Reed had two hits and two runs for the Wildcats (0-2, 13-6). In the opener, Watson had a leadoff single in the eighth and scored on a bases-loaded walk to tie the game, and repeated the sequence in the 12th to give LSU the victory. Devin Fontenot (3-0, 5 IP, 2 H, 5 K) earned the victory. T.J. Collett went 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI for UK.

In Chapel Hill, N.C., Michael Busch went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBI as North Carolina evened its ACC series with Miami. Tyler Baum turned in five innings with three earned runs and six strikeouts before turning it over to Austin Love, who worked the final four innings and allowed one hit and no runs. Alex Toral hit a two-run homer for the Hurricanes.

In Columbia, S.C., Aaron Schunk fanned three of the six batters he faced over the final 1.2 innings to record his seventh save as Georgia secured an SEC series win at USC. Schunk also had two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs (2-0, 17-2). Tucker Maxwell (2 for 5, 2 R) and Riley King (2 for 4, BB, R) both drove in two for Georgia. Andrew Eyster, Luke Berryhill and Ian Jenkins all went deep for the Gamecocks (0-2, 14-5).
In Fayetteville, Ark., Christian Franklin had three RBI and Matt Cronin registered his sixth save as Arkansas clinched an SEC series win over Missouri. Franklin had a sacrifice fly in the second, and his two-run single in the fourth gave the Razorbacks (2-0, 16-2) a 4-0 lead. After the Tigers (0-2, 11-7) pulled within one in the eighth, Cronin pitched a perfect ninth with one strikeout to secure the win for Kole Ramage (4-0, 3 IP, 2 H, 2 R, K). Luke Mann had two hits, including a double, and one RBI for Mizzou. TJ Sikkema (2-1, 8 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 10 K) went the distance for the Tigers.
