In Gainesville, Fla., Aidan King allowed one run over six innings as UF started its SEC series against Auburn with a victory. King (6-2) gave up three hits and two walks while striking out eight. Joshua Whritenour tossed a scoreless ninth with one punchout to record his seventh save. Cyr snapped a 1-1 deadlock with a three-run homer in the third for the Gators (10-6, 28-11). Chase Fralick went 2 for 4 with a double, one run and one RBI for the Tigers (8-8, 25-12).

No. 18 Arkansas 6, No. 6 Georgia 3 (box score)
In Fayetteville, Ark., Hunter Dietz allowed two runs over 5.1 innings as Arkansas bested UGA to begin their SEC set. Dietz (4-2) scattered five hits while walking one and fanning six. Ethan McElwain pitched 1.2 hitless innings with two strikeouts to register his third save. Damian Ruiz (2 for 4, 2 R) had an RBI double and scored in a three-run first for the Razorbacks (9-7, 26-13). Daniel Jackson went deep for the 17th time for the Bulldogs (11-5, 30-9).

No. 15 Virginia 6, Clemson 4 (box score)
In Charlottesville, Va., Henry Zatkowski fanned 10 over seven innings and Jake Weatherspoon snapped a 3-3 tie with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the sixth as UVA edged Clemson to kick off their ACC series. Zatkowski (6-0) allowed five hits, two walks and three runs. Tyler Kapa worked around two hits in a scoreless ninth with one punchout to notch his first save. After Luke Gaffney put the Tigers (5-11, 24-15) on top with a two-run homer in the second, AJ Gracia had a three-run shot in the bottom of the frame for the Cavs (11-8, 27-12). Jacob Jarrell’s solo shot in top of the sixth tied it at 3-3.

BYU 19, Arizona State 9 (box score)
In Provo, Utah, Bryker Hurdsman went 4 for 4 with a homer, four runs and five RBI as BYU took the Big 12 series opener at ASU. The Cougars (9-7, 20-16) put up crooked numbers in five of their six at-bats. Cooper Jones had three hits, including a double and a triple, and knocked in three for BYU. Matthew Polk was 4 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI for the Sun Devils (10-8, 26-13).
