In Durham, N.C., Blake Jarvis tossed the first perfect game in Duke baseball history, striking out 15, as the Blue Devils beat Cornell Friday night. On a day that started with snow on the ground in Durham, Jarvis induced 10 groundouts and two pop outs in his 94-pitch masterpiece. Rudy Maxwell went 2 for 4 with two runs and three RBI for the Blue Devils (4-1), who scored three in the fourth and five in the fifth – seven of their eight runs were unearned. It was the season opener for Cornell.
Ole Miss 13, Xavier 0 (box score)
In Oxford, Miss., three hurlers combined on a no-hitter as Ole Miss blanked XU. Doug Nikhazy (1-1) allowed two walks and fanned nine to earn the win. Drew McDaniel had one walk and one punchout in two innings. Jackson Kimbrell struck out one in a 1-2-3 ninth to complete the no-no against the Musketeers (2-2). Hayden Dunhurst went 2 for 4 with a homer and five RBI to lead the offense for the Rebels (4-1).

In Coral Gables, Fla., Jacob Young had an RBI double in the top of the 11t as UF outlasted UM. Young had three hits for the Gators (6-0). Tommy Mace fanned eight in seven innings with two hits, two walks and one run. Ben Specht (1-0) pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the win, while Nick Pogue retired the side in order in the 11th to earn his first save. Raymond Gil had a sacrifice fly for the Hurricanes (4-1).
Tennessee 6, No. 3 Texas Tech 2 (box score)
In Round Rock, Texas, Jordan Beck had a two-run homer to cap a three-run first as UT topped TTU. Zach Daniels (2 for 4, 2 R) and Jake Rucker also went deep for the Volunteers (5-0). Chad Dallas (2-0, 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 8 K) earned the win, while Sean Hunley (4 IP, H, 2 BB, 5 K) notched his second save. Braxton Fulford went 2 for 4 with a run for the Red Raiders (4-1).
UCF 3, No. 10 Auburn 1 (box score)
In Auburn, Ala., Colton Gordon fanned seven in six innings, and Jordan Rathbone homered, scored twice and knocked in two, as UCF won at Auburn. Gordon (2-0) allowed four hits, one walk and one run. Jeff Hakanson fanned three in 1.1 innings to record his second save for the Knights (5-1). Rathbone had a game-tying RBI single and scored the go-ahead run in the fourth. He added an insurance run in the sixth. Scheffler homered in the second for the Tigers (5-1).
Connecticut 8, No. 12 Michigan 7 (box score)
In Port St. Lucie, Fla., Kyler Fedko had an RBI double in the eighth inning, and Christian Fedko added an RBI single in the ninth inning as Connecticut overcame Michigan. Christian Fedko finished with two hits and three RBI, and Kyler Fedko and Kevin Ferrer added two RBI apiece for the Huskies (2-2), who also beat the Wolverines last weekend in Arizona. The Wolverines (3-2) mustered only four hits but drew eight walks as seven different players scored one run apiece. But UConn pitchers totaled 17 strikeouts with Pat Gallagher striking out six over three innings.
Eastern Kentucky 2, No. 13 LSU 0 (box score)
In Baton Rouge, La., Louis Davenport III earned the win in relief and Jacob Abbott recorded the final out for his second save as EKU stayed undefeated by shutting out LSU. Davenport (1-0) worked 2.1 hitless innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Abbott entered with two on and two out in the bottom of the ninth and struck out the final batter to secure the win. AJ Lewis had an RBI single in the third and Nick Howie added a run-scoring base hit in the fifth for the Colonels (4-0). Alex Milazzo walked twice and stole a base for the Tigers (3-3).
Houston 11, No. 19 Stanford 4 (box score)
In Round Rock, Texas, Ryan Hernandez homered and drove in three, and Blake Way went 2 for 2 with three RBI as Houston knocked off Stanford. Steven Rivas added two hits and two RBI, and Kyle Lovelace contributed two hits and two runs for the Cougars (2-2), who scored seven times in the fourth inning to take control. Nick Bellafronto drove in a pair of runs for the Cardinal (1-4).

In Louisville, Ky., Reid Detmers and two relievers combined for 22 strikeouts as UL blanked Valpo. Detmers (2-0) fanned 14 in six innings while allowing three hits. Glenn Albanese struck out five in two perfect frames, and Michael Kirian allowed one hit and fanned three in recording his second save. Justin Lavey had a sac fly in the second, and Ben Bianco added a two-run dinger in the sixth for the Cardinals (2-3). Riley Dent had two hits for the Crusaders (1-3).

In Nashville, Mason Hickman allowed three hits and struck out 12 in seven scoreless innings as Vanderbilt blanked UIC. Carter Young went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI, and CJ Rodriguez added two RBI for the Commodores (4-2), who got RBI from seven different players and racked up 14 hits. The Flames fell to 0-5.

In Athens, Ga., Tucker Bradley went 3 for 4 with a homer and three RBI as Georgia stopped Santa Clara. Bradley had an RBI single in the third, a homer in the sixth and a run-scoring single in a five-run seventh. Emerson Hancock (1-0) struck out eight in seven innings with two hits and no walks for the Bulldogs (5-0). Coleman Brigman and Jason Dicochea each had a hit for the Broncos (5-1).

In Fayetteville, Ark., Casey Opitz went 2 for 4 with a run and two RBI, and Robert Moore drove in a pair of runs as Arkansas squeaked past Gonzaga. In a game when neither starting pitcher could get out of the third inning, the Razorbacks (4-0) built a 5-2 lead and broke a 5-5 tie with two in the seventh. Christian Franklin beat out a play at first with the bases loaded to break the tie, and another run came in on a wild pitch. Brett Harris went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBI, and Stephen Lund went 3 for 4 for the Bulldogs (2-3).

In Starkville, Miss., Justin Foscue had a two-run single, and Brandon Pimentel launched a three-run homer as Mississippi State scored six times in the eighth inning to overcome Oregon State. Christian Chamberlain tossed 5.1 scoreless innings with two hits and 12 strikeouts, and the Beavers (2-3) took a 2-0 lead to the eighth. David Dunlavey tossed three innings with one earned run to earn the win for the Bulldogs (4-0).

In Tallahassee, Fla., Elijah Cabell ripped a three-run homer in the sixth inning to give Florida State a 4-3 lead, and the Seminoles added four runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth in a win over Cincinnati. Cabell ended with two runs and four RBI, and Robby Martin added two hits and two RBI for FSU (4-1). Jace Mercer went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Bearcats (0-4). Cincy starter Evan Shawver tossed five innings with no hits, four walks, nine strikeouts and one earned run.

EJ Taylor had a pinch-hit homer for the Vaqueros (2-3).

In Long Beach, Calif., Leonard Jones had a two-run triple in the first and Jacob Hughey had a two-run single to highlight a four-run fourth as LBSU defeated WFU. Alfredo Ruiz (2-0, 7 IP, 2 H, 3 R, 4 K) recorded the victory for the Dirtbags (3-2). Bobby Seymour went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Demon Deacons (3-2).
Tennessee Tech at No. 16 NC State and Dallas Baptist at No. 17 North Carolina were postponed.
