In Tallahassee, Fla., C.J. Van Eyk struck out 10 and allowed one earned run over 7.1 innings, and Drew Mendoza drove in three as Florida State topped Miami, giving Seminoles coach Mike Martin 1,975 wins for his career and tying him with Augie Garrido for the most wins in college baseball history. Rhett Aplin added two RBI for the Seminoles (13-9, 31-13), who pulled away with three runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth.
Tennessee Tech 6, Southeast Missouri 2
In Cookeville, Tenn., Marcus Evey tossed seven innings with one earned run and eight strikeouts, and Collin Harris had three hits and three runs as Tennessee Tech stretched its winning streak to 28 games by topping Southeast Missouri in the OVC. Alex Junior went 4 for 5 with a run, and David Garza contributed two RBI for the Golden Eagles (19-1, 37-5).
No. 10 North Carolina 8, No. 3 NC State 6
In Raleigh, N.C., Austin Bergner allowed three earned runs and struck out 11 in eight strong innings, and Brandon Riley had two hits and two RBI as North Carolina beat NC State for the second straight day. Michael Busch, Kyle Datres and Cody Roberts each hit solo homers for the Tar Heels (17-6, 30-13), who scored three in the ninth and then held on as the Wolfpack (15-8, 31-10) scored three of its own in the bottom of the ninth. Will Wilson went 3 for 4 with a homer, three runs and two RBI, and Evan Edwards homered and drove in three for State.
No. 1 Florida 12, Auburn 3
In Gainesville, Fla., Deacon Liput went 2 for 3 with a homer and three RBI as UF won its SEC series against Auburn. The Gators (16-5, 36-10) erased an early 3-0 deficit with six in the fourth. Nick Horvath also knocked in three for UF. Edouard Julien had a three-run homer in the first for the Tigers (10-11, 31-14).
No. 2 Stanford 5, California 2
In Stanford, Calif., Tim Tawa and Andrew Daschbach both belted two-run homers as Stanford won its Pac-12 series with Cal. Kris Bubic (6-0, 5.1 IP, 5 H, R, 2 BB, 7 K) earned the victory. Jonah Davis went deep for the Golden Bears (10-11, 24-17).
No. 4 Texas Tech 6, TCU 0
In Fort Worth, Texas, Caleb Kilian and Ryan Shetter combined on a one-hit shutout as TTU evened its Big 12 series at TCU. Kilian (7-1) allowed one hit and two walks in six innings with nine strikeouts in recording the victory. Shettter worked three hitless innings with two walks and four punchouts to notch his third save. Zach Rheams had three hits and two RBI for the Red Raiders (11-6, 33-11). Conner Shepherd went 1 for 2 with a walk for the Horned Frogs (7-9, 21-18).
Arizona State 8, No. 5 Oregon State 5
In Corvallis, Ore., Lyle Lin had two hits and four RBI as ASU evened its Pac-12 series at OSU. Dellan Raish (3-1, 4.1 IP, 4 H, K) earned the win in relief. Cadyn Grenier went 3 for 3 with two walks and two RBI for the Beavers (11-6, 31-7).
No. 6 Ole Miss 9, LSU 8
In Oxford, Miss., Thomas Dillard and Chase Cockrell each hit three-run homers as Ole Miss rallied from a 7-4 deficit and captured its SEC series with LSU in front of a record crowd of 12,152 at Swayze Field. Ryan Olenek had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 20 games, and Will Ethridge tossed 5.1 innings of one-run relief for the Rebels (12-9, 34-11). Daniel Cabrera and Hunter Feduccia each drove in three for the Tigers (10-11, 26-19).
No. 7 Arkansas 7, Alabama 4
In Fayetteville, Ark., Luke Bonfield had three hits, including a homer, and two RBI as Arkansas clinched an SEC series victory over Alabama. Jack Kenley had two hits and two RBI for the Razorbacks (12-8, 31-13). Cobie Vance, Sam Praytor and Joe Breaux all went deep for the Crimson Tide (5-15, 23-22).
No. 8 UCLA 6, Cal Poly 3
In San Luis Obispo, Calif., Kevin Kendall had a two-run triple to highlight a six-run sixth as UCLA clinched a series win at Cal Poly. Zach Pettway (7-1, 8 H, 3 R, 5 K) earned the win, while Holden Powell worked a hitless ninth for his fifth save for the Bruins (28-10). Alex McKenna had a three-run homer in the fifth for the Mustangs (19-22).
Houston 3, No. 9 East Carolina 1
In Greenville, N.C., Aaron Fletcher allowed one earned run in 7.1 innings, and Grayson Padgett went 2 for 4 with a run as Houston edged East Carolina for the second straight day. The Cougars (12-5, 27-16) scored twice in the second by playing some small ball and scoring a run after a pair of bunts and another on a wild pitch. Connor Litton had a pair of hits for the Pirates (8-6, 30-11).
No. 11 Duke 11, Virginia Tech 5
In Blacksburg, Va., Chris Proctor and Joey Loperfido each homered and drove in two, and Zack Kone also homered as Duke evened its ACC series with Virginia Tech. Bryce Jarvis (3-1) and Jack Labosky combined for four innings of one-hit relief for the Blue Devils (14-8, 32-11). Sam Fragale had two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Hokies (8-15, 18-25).
