In Tallahassee, Fla., Drew Parrish, Conor Grady and Chase Haney combined on a no-hitter, and Robby Martin went 3 for 4 with five RBI as Florida State opened Mike Martin’s last season with an 11-0 win Friday night to match the 11 the longtime skipper wears on his back. Reese Albert added a triple, homer, two runs and two RBI for the Seminoles. Parrish tossed the first five innings and struck out five, and Grady struck out four in his three innings. Haney ended the game in style with his lone strikeout.
Connecticut 3, No. 9 Louisville 2
In Lakeland, Fla., Jeff Kersten allowed one unearned run over six innings, and Paul Gozzo hit a solo homer in the top of the eighth inning to break a 2-2 tie as Connecticut slipped past Louisville. Anthony Prato had two hits and an RBI, and Pat Winkel contributed two hits for the Huskies. Jake Snider had two hits and a run, and Reid Detmers allowed one earned run in five innings for the Cardinals.
No. 5 Florida 8, Long Beach State 2
In Gainesville, Fla., Wil Dalton and Brady Smith each drove in two in a four-run first inning, and Florida pulled away when it scored three runs on a misplayed fly ball with two outs in the seventh inning in a win over Long Beach State. Dalton finished with two hits and two runs, and Nelson Maldonado contributed a pair of hits and a pair of runs. Brooks Stotler had two of the Dirtbags’ four hits off five Gators pitchers.
No. 7 North Carolina 12, Xavier 3
In Chapel Hill, N.C., Ike Freeman went 4 for 5 with a homer, two runs and four RBI, and Aaron Sabato added two hits and three RBI as North Carolina opened with a win over Xavier. Michael Busch walked four times and scored four times, and Brandon Martorano contributed two hits and two runs for the Tar Heels (1-0). Freshman Will Sandy tossed 4.2 scoreless innings with one hit and five strikeouts for UNC. Conor Grammes and Ryan Altentberger each had two hits and a run for the Musketeers.
No. 11 Ole Miss 10, Wright State 1
In Oxford, Miss., Cooper Johnson went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI, and Will Ethridge worked 5.2 scoreless innings with four hits and five strikeouts as Ole Miss topped Wright State. Thomas Dillard went 3 for 3 with a run and an RBI, and Tyler Keenan contributed a homer and two RBI for the Rebels. Peyton Burdick drove in the lone run for the Raiders.
In Athens, Ga., Emerson Hancock allowed two hits in 6.2 scoreless innings, and Riley King went 3 for 4 with a two-run homer, two runs and three RBI as Georgia slipped past Dayton. Aaron Schunk added two hits and two runs, and Patrick Sullivan contributed two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs. Alex Brickman went 2 for 4 with a solo homer in the ninth inning for the Flyers.

In Starkville, Miss., Tanner Allen went 2 for 5 with a homer, three runs and four RBI, and Elijah Macnamee added two hits, including a three-run homer, and three RBI as Mississippi State opened the newly completed Dudy Noble Field with a win over Youngstown State. Jordan Westburg went 4 for 5 with three runs and two RBI as the Bulldogs piled up 14 hits in support of Ethan Small, who allowed two earned runs and struck out 11 in five innings – in all, MSU pitchers struck out 18. Trevor Wiersma went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer and three RBI for the Penguins.
No. 14 East Carolina 6-15, Radford 2-9 (Game 1, Game 2)
In Greenville, N.C., Spencer Brickhouse went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI, and Alec Burleson went 4 for 5 with an RBI and tossed five solid innings as East Carolina won the first game of a doubleheader with Radford. In the second game, Bryant Packard went 3 for 5 with a homer, three runs and three RBI, Bryson Worrell had two hits, including a homer, two runs and four RBI and Seth Caddell added two hits, including a homer, two runs and three RBI as the Pirates completed the sweep. Clayton Baine had a three-run homer, and Spencer Horwitz (3 for 3, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Andrew Szamski (2 for 3, 2 RBI) also homered for the Highlanders.

In Clemson, S.C., Logan Davidson ripped a three-run homer to jumpstart the Clemson offense, and Mat Clark tossed three scoreless innings of relief as the Tigers topped South Alabama. Michael Green also homered for Clemson, going 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI, and Sam Hall added two RBI. Ethan Wilson went 3 for 4 with a solo homer, and Wells Davis also homered for the Jaguars.
No. 18 Auburn 11, Georgia Southern 2
In Auburn, Ala., Edouard Julien went 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBI, and Rankin Woley and Ryan Bliss added two RBI apiece as Auburn coasted past Georgia Southern. Elliott Anderson allowed two hits and struck out seven in four scoreless innings of relief. Mason McWhorter had two hits and a run to lead the Eagles.
No. 19 Coastal Carolina 10, VCU 8
In Conway, S.C., Kieton Rivers went 3 for 3 with a run and three RBI, and Zach Biermann and Parker Chavers each homered and drove in two as Coastal Carolina held off VCU. The Rams, behind four hits and two RBI from Hogan Brown, led 5-3 before Rivers had a two-run single in the fourth. Keaton Weisz’s two-run single in the sixth gave the Chants the lead for good.

In Port St. Lucie, Fla., Tommy Henry struck out nine and allowed six hits in six scoreless innings, and Jimmy Kerr went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as Michigan blanked Binghamton. Jordan Nwogu had a double, triple and two RBI, and Ako Thomas had two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Wolverines. Daniel Franchi had a pair of hits for Binghamton.
No. 2 Vanderbilt 15, Virginia 9
In Scottsdale, Ariz., Ethan Paul went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI, and Philip Clarke added two hits and three RBI as Vanderbilt used an eight-run fourth inning to get past Virginia. Austin Martin added three hits, four runs and an RBI for the Commodores, who broke from a 5-4 lead with the big inning. Zack Gelof went 4 for 5 with two runs and four RBI for the Cavaliers.
In Baton Rouge, La., Antoine Duplantis had two homers and six RBI, and Daniel Cabrera also homered twice and drove in five as LSU scored five times in the bottom of the eighth inning to evade ULM. Josh Smith and Brandt Broussard each scored three runs as the Tigers scored in five of their eight innings. Trent Tingelstad and Chad Bell each homered and drove in two, and Ryan Humeniuk had two hits and two RBI for ULM.
In Los Angeles, Zach Pettway allowed two unearned runs and struck out nine, and UCLA took advantage of a pair of bases-loaded walks in the seventh inning to overcome St. John’s. Sean Mooney matched Pettway, tossing 5.2 innings with three hits, one earned run, four walks and eight strikeouts, and Mitchell Henshaw went 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Red Storm.
In Lubbock, Texas, T. Smith went 3 for 4 with two hits and two RBI, and S. Steer and G. Matthews added two RBI apiece as Oregon knocked off Texas Tech. A. Zavala had three hits and two runs as the Ducks scored three in the third, three in the fourth and two in the fifth to take control. Dru Baker drove in two for the Red Raiders.
No. 6 Oregon State 6, New Mexico 5
In Surprise, Ariz., Greg Fuchs delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth as defending champion Oregon State scored three times in the ninth to beat New Mexico. Jared Mang homered and drove in two, and Tyler Kelly added two RBI for the Lobos.
