In Starkville, Miss., Justin Foscue homered twice to lead MSU past LSU in the SEC series lid-lifter. Foscue had a three-run shot in the third to erase a 2-0 deficit and put the Bulldogs (5-2, 24-3) on top for good. He added a solo shot in the fifth. Ethan Small (3-0, 3 H, 2 R, 4 BB) fanned 10 in five innings in picking up the win. Cole Gordon struck out three of the four batters he faced over the final 1.1 innings to record his seventh save. Daniel Cabrera (2 for 5, 2 R) launched a two-run dinger in the first for the Tigers (4-3, 17-9).

No. 6 Georgia 7, Kentucky 3

In Lexington, Ky., John Cable homered and knocked in two as UGA downed UK to kick off their SEC set. Cable went deep in the second and delivered an RBI double in the fourth to snap a 1-1 tie and put the Bulldogs (6-1, 22-4) ahead to stay. Emerson Hancock (6-1, 7 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 8 K) earned the victory. Breydon Daniels homered twice for the Wildcats (0-7, 15-11).

BYU 10, Saint Mary’s 6

In Provo, Utah, Brock Hale homered twice and drove in four as BYU outscored SMC in the WCC series opener. Hale had a three-run blast in the first to wipe out a 2-0 deficit and put the Cougars (5-2, 19-5) ahead for good. He added a solo shot in the fourth. McIntyre also had a two-run dinger in the first for BYU. Jordan Wood (4-0, 5.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 4 ER, BB, 4 K) earned the win, while Reid McLaughlin tossed 3.2 hitless innings with three punchouts to record his second save. Joe Vranesh homered for the Gaels (3-1, 16-10).
