In Austin, Texas, Bryce Elder allowed four hits and one unearned run with seven strikeouts in 6.2 splendid inning as Texas knocked off top-ranked LSU. Duke Ellis went 2 for 3 with a two-run homer as the Longhorns (8-3) took a 3-1 lead, and Masen Hibbeler went 2 for 4 with two runs and a two-run single in a five-run seventh as Texas put the game away. Zach Watson went 2 for 4 with a run for the Tigers (8-1).

No. 8 Stanford 4-8, Cal State Fullerton 3-1 (Game 1 box,Game 2 box)

In Fullerton, Calif., Tim Tawa had an RBI single in the top of the eighth to break a 3-3 tie as Stanford slipped past Cal State Fullerton in the first game of a doubleheader. Brendan Beck allowed two earned runs an nine hits and struck out seven in 6.2 innings for the Cardinal, who got three hits, a run and an RBI from Maverick Handley. Tanner Bibee struck out nine and allowed four earned runs in 7.2 innings for the Titans. In the second game, Alec Wilson had two hits and four RBI, and Handley added two hits and three RBI as Stanford (9-1) coasted past Fullerton (4-4). Jacob Palisch (1-0) allowed three hits and one earned run, and Carson Rudd tossed three hitless innings for the Cardinal.

South Carolina 5, No. 17 Clemson 4

In Clemson, S.C., TJ Hopkins ripped a three-run homer, and Andrew Eyster went 3 for 4 with a two-run homer as South Carolina rode the long ball to a win over Clemson. Brett Kerry tossed the final 3.1 innings with two hits and seven strikeouts for the Gamecocks (8-1). Grayson Byrd had a two-run homer for the Tigers (7-2), who got 4.1 sterling innings of relief from Mat Clark (0 R, 2 H, 6 K).

No. 9 Florida State 9, Mercer 5

In Tallahassee, Fla., Robby Martin continued his torrid pace by going 3 for 5 with two runs and three RBI as Florida State improved to 8-0 with a win over Mercer. Drew Parrish (2-0) got four early runs of support and worked six innings with five hits, three earned runs and eight strikeouts. Cooper Swanson added a two-run pinch-hit homer for  the Noles. Garrett Wilkinson and RJ Yeager each drove in two, and Collin Price went 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI for the Bears (8-2).

No. 10 Louisville 5, James Madison 0

In Louisville, Ky., Reid Detmers was electric, working eight innings with one hit, one walk and 14 strikeouts as Louisville blanked James Madison. Detmers, who didn’t allow a hit in his last start, tossed seven hitless innings to stretch that streak to 14.2 innings before a leadoff single in the eighth. Danny Oriente had two hits and two RBI, and Tyler Fitzgerald contributed two hits and two runs for the Cardinals (6-3). Kyle Novak had the lone hit for the Dukes (7-2).

No. 11 Georgia 3, Georgia Southern 1

In Statesboro, Ga., the trio of Emerson Hancock, Ryan Webb and Aaron Schunk combined to allow one run as Georgia opened its weekend with a win over Georgia Southern. Hancock (3-0) allowed one earned run and struck out five in five innings before turning it over to Webb, who allowed one hit and struck out seven in three innings. Schunk came on for his second save. Riley King had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs (8-1). Seth Shuman allowed five hits and two earned runs with 11 strikeouts for the Eagles (3-5).

No. 12 Mississippi State 5, Sam Houston State 4

In Frisco, Texas, Justin Foscue went 3 for 4 with an RBI and scored the go-ahead run on an error in the eighth inning as Mississippi State rallied to beat Sam Houston State at the Frisco Classic. The Bulldogs (9-1) trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh but got an RBI single from Jake Mangum (2 for 4) and a sacrifice fly from Tanner Allen to tie the game. Jordan Canon had three hits, and Colton Cowser added two hits and two runs for the Bearkats (5-3).

No. 13 Ole Miss 7, Long Beach State 2

In Oxford, Miss., Jacob Adams had two hits and two RBI, and Thomas Dillard stayed hot with two hits, two runs and an RBI as Ole Miss scored five runs in the first three innings en route to a win over Long Beach State. Austin Miller worked the final four innings, allowing one hit and striking out three, for the Rebels (6-2). Laine Huffman led the Dirtbags with two hits and an RBI.

Texas A&M 5, No. 14 Baylor 2

In Houston, John Doxakis tossed eight splendid innings with four hits, one earned run and 12 strikeouts, and Brandon Shewmake went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBI as Texas A&M topped Baylor at Minute Maid Park. Bryce Blaum hit a solo homer for the Aggies (9-2), who were limited to five hits by three Baylor pitchers. Davis Wendzel had two hits and two RBI for the Bears, who fell to 8-1.

No. 16 Arkansas 3-4, Stony Brook 1-3 (Game 1 boxGame 2 box)

In Fayetteville, Ark., Heston Kjerstad went 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI as Arkansas completed a doubleheader sweep of Stony Brook. Michael Wilson hit a solo homer, and John Tuccillo added two hits for the Seawolves. In the first game, Isaiah Campbell struck out 13 and allowed three hits in seven scoreless innings, and Trevor Ezell had a run and an RBI for the Razorbacks (7-1). Wilson went 2 for 4, and Dylan Resk hit a solo homer for Stony Brook (3-4).

No. 18 Coastal Carolina 11, Illinois 3

In Conway, S.C., Kieton Rivers had a three-run homer, and Keaton Weisz drove in three, including a two-run homer, as Coastal Carolina beat Illinois in Coastal’s tournament. Zach Biermann added two hits and two runs for the Chants (8-2). Zac Taylor had a solo homer and scored twice for the Illini (6-1).

No. 19 Auburn 5, Cincinnati 0

In Auburn, Ala., Tanner Burns allowed two hits and struck out 15 in a masterful shutout as Auburn beat Cincinnati. Steven Williams went 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBI for the Tigers (7-2). The Bearcats fell to 1-6.

No. 20 Michigan 2, Cal State Northridge 1

In Northridge, Calif., Tommy Henry allowed three hits and struck out 12 in eight shutout innings, and Ako Thomas went 3 for 5 with a solo homer as Michigan edged Cal State Northridge. Denzel Clarke hit a solo homer in the ninth, but Willie Weiss was able to close the door for his second save for the Wolverines (7-0). Walker Armstrong worked six innings with one earned run and eight strikeouts for the Matadors (5-5).

No. 2 Vanderbilt 11, Dayton 3

In Nashville, Drake Fellows allowed three earned runs and struck out 13 in six innings, and Cooper Davis had two hits and three RBI as Vanderbilt coasted past Dayton. JJ Bleday went 2 for 3 with a solo homer and two runs, and Austin Martin contributed two RBI for the Commodores (7-2). Alex Brickman went 2 for 4 with a double, homer and two RBI for the Flyers (1-4-1).

No. 3 UCLA 2, Sacramento State 1

In Los Angeles, Ryan Kreidler went 2 for 3 and delivered the game-winning RBI single to score pinch-runner Jordan Prendiz in the bottom of the ninth as UCLA squeaked past Sacramento State. Zach Pettway tossed seven innings with three hits, one run and nine strikeouts for the Bruins (8-1). He was matched by Parker Brahms, who went seven innings with four hits, one earned run and eight strikeouts for the Hornets (3-6). Martin Vincelli-Simard hit a solo homer for Sacramento State.

No. 4 Oregon State 9, West Virginia 2

In Corvallis, Ore., Kevin Abel allowed one hit and one earned run with 11 strikeouts in six innings, and Kyler McMahan went 2 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and three RBI as Oregon State beat West Virginia. The Beavers (9-0) erupted for seven runs in the second inning off Mountaineers ace Alek Manoah (2 IP, 7 R, 4 ER). Ivan Gonzalez had a solo homer for WVU (5-4).

Nebraska 2, No. 5 Texas Tech 1

In Frisco, Texas, a trio of Nebraska pitchers – Matt Waldron, Chad Luensmann and Colby Gomes – limited Texas Tech to four hits, and the Huskers scored two runs in the seventh inning to upend the Red Raiders at the Frisco Classic at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Waldron struck out seven and allowed one earned run in five innings before Luensmann (1-1) went three hitless innings with four strikeouts. Gomes tossed the final inning, striking out two for his first save. Mojo Hagge drove in a run, as did Gomes for Nebraska (4-5). Brian Klein drove in the lone run for the Red Raiders (6-2).

No. 7 Florida 16, Winthrop 4

In Gainesville, Fla., Austin Langworthy went 2 for 5 with a homer, two runs and four RBI, and Nelson Maldonado added two hits, two runs and three RBI as Florida whipped Winthrop. Langworthy had a two-run double to give the Gators (7-4) a 3-1 lead in the third, and Maldonado had a three-run double in a nine-run fourth inning. Jake Sullivan had two hits and two RBI for the Eagles (3-6).
