Trevor Long worked a scoreless ninth with one punchout to record the win. Tony Bullard homered, while Mac Bingham had a double and knocked in two for the Wildcats (1-0). Christian Moore went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run for the Vols (0-1). Chase Dollander (0-1) fanned seven in 4.2 innings with three hits, two runs and one walk for UT.

In Baton Rouge, La., Paul Skenes tossed six scoreless innings with 12 strikeouts as the Tigers blanked the Broncos. Skenes (1-0) scattered three hits and walked one. Dylan Crews had two hits and scored twice, while Jared Jones and Ben Nippolt both drove in two for LSU (1-0). Bobby Dearing went 1 for 3 with a double for WMU (0-1).
Cal State Fullerton 8, No. 3 Stanford 1 (box score)
In Fullerton, Calif., Maddox Latta had three doubles and scored three times as the Titans downed the Cardinal. Tyler Stultz (1-0, 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 3 BB, 7 K) earned the win, while Fynn Chester worked four scoreless frames with two hits, one walk and three punchouts to notch his first save. CSF blew open a 2-1 game with five in the seventh. Malcolm Moore (2 for 4) homered for Stanford.
No. 6 Arkansas 3, Texas 2
In Arlington, Texas, Kendall Diggs drove in two, and John Bolton went 2 for 4 with an RBI as Arkansas scored all three of its runs in the seventh inning in a tight win over Texas at the Higginbotham College Baseball Showdown. Hagen Smith yielded just one hit and struck out eight in five scoreless innings for the Razorbacks (1-0). Lucas Gordon matched him with two hits and six strikeouts in five scoreless for the Longhorns. Porter Brown had a solo homer for Texas, which answered Arkansas’ three runs in the seventh with two of its own. Brady Tygart struck out three over 1.2 perfect innings for the save.
No. 4 Florida 13, Charleston Southern 3 (7)
In Gainesville, Fla., BT Riopelle went 3 for 5 with a double, homer (a three-run shot in the first inning) and five RBI, and Josh Rivera went 2 for 2 with two walks, three runs and two RBI as Florida coasted past Charleston Southern. The Gators (1-0) piled up 14 hits, with eight of nine hitters having at least one and five having two or more. Brandon Sproat worked 5.2 innings with three runs and seven strikeouts for Florida. Tyrell Brewer had two RBI for the Bucs (0-1).
No. 5 Texas A&M 8, Seattle 2
In College Station, Texas, Jack Moss had two hits and two RBI, and Ryan Targac added two RBI as Texas A&M topped Seattle. The Redhawks actually outhit the Aggies (7-5), but A&M took advantage of seven walks and a hit batter. Nathan Dettmer tossed 4.2 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts for the Aggies. Matt Boissoneault hit a two-run homer in the eighth for Seattle to make it 5-2 before the Aggies tacked on three runs in bottom of the inning.
