In Fayetteville, Ark., Peter Alonso had a two-run single to spark a six-run fourth as Florida outscored Arkansas in their SEC series opener. Mike Rivera (1 for 4, 2 R, 3 RBI) added a two-run double later in the fourth for the Gators (9-4, 31-5). Nelson Maldonado had two hits and two runs as UF scored in each of its final six at-bats. A.J. Puk (2-2, 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 3 BB) struck out nine in picking up the win. Shaun Anderson (1 IP, H, R, 2 K) recorded his seventh save. Grant Koch (1 for 2, 2 R) had a three-run homer in a five-run eighth for the Razorbacks (4-9, 21-13).
No. 10 Oregon State 12, Washington State 3
In Pullman, Wash., Oregon State scored multiple runs in each of the first three innings as Oregon State downed Washington State to kick off their Pac-12 series. Jack Anderson (2 for 4, 2B, 2 R) and Kyle Nobach (2 for 3, 2 2B) both drove in three for the Beavers (6-4, 23-7), who led 11-1 after three. Travis Eckert (4-2, 7 IP, 8 H, 2 R, 6 K) earned the victory. Trek Stemp went 3 for 4 with a run for the Cougars (3-10, 10-20).
Saint Mary’s 5, BYU 4
In Moraga, Calif., Joey Fiske hit a game-winning sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth as Saint Mary’s edged BYU to open their West Coast Conference series. Zach Kirtley went 4 for 5 with two RBI, while Ian McLoughlin went 2 for 2 with a homer for the Gaels (9-4, 19-11). Drew Strotman (3-3, 2 IP, 3 K) earned the victory. Eric Urry had two hits for the Cougars (9-4, 26-6).
