In Gainesville, Fla., four pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout as UF edged FSU Tuesday evening. Nate Brown started and went 5.0 innings with three hits and four strikeouts. Andrew Baker (1-1, 2.2 IP, 4 K) picked up the win, while Tyler Dyson fanned two in a hitless ninth for his first save. The Gators (13-5) scored the game’s lone run in the seventh. Jonathan India (2 for 3) had a one-out double and scored on a single by Mark Kolozsvary with two away. Andrew Karp (0-1, 5 H, R) fanned 11 in 7.0 innings for the Seminoles (13-4).
Long Beach State 7, No. 4 TCU 0
In Long Beach, Calif., Lucas Tancas went 2 for 3 with a pair of triples, two runs and one RBI as LBSU blanked TCU. The Dirtbags (7-8) scored three in the fourth and added four in the eighth. Luke Rasmussen (2 for 4) also scored twice, while Ramsey Romano homered for the victors. Five LBSU pitchers combined to allow five hits and strike out 15, with Eli Villalobos (1-0, 2.0 IP, H, BB, 3 K) recording the win in relief. Josh Watson had two hits for the Horned Frogs (12-4).
No. 6 LSU 13, Louisiana College 0
In Baton Rouge, La., Antoine Duplantis doubled and knocked in three as LSU thumped Louisiana College. The Tigers (13-4) scored three in the first and two in the fourth before putting the game away with seven in the seventh. Greg Deichmann had two doubles and scored twice, while Beau Jordan went 2 for 4 with three runs and two RBI. Zack Hess (2-0, 6.0 IP, H, 7 K) earned the victory.
No. 9 Clemson 10, Yale 6
In Clemson, S.C., Chris Williams went 3 for 5 with a homer and three RBI as Clemson outscored Yale. Alex Stiegler had a two-run homer and Harrison White added a three-run shot in a six-run fifth as the Bulldogs (3-6) took a 6-4 lead. Williams’ three-run dinger in the seventh put the Tigers (13-3) on top for good. Seth Beer went 3 for 4 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI for Clemson.
