Arkansas Rises to Second in CBI Composite Poll (3/24)

Tennessee remained in the top spot and Arkansas climbed to No. 2 in the latest CBI Composite Poll.

The Volunteers had a 2-2 week, losing at home to ETSU before winning a series at No. 12 Alabama. UT is first in four polls and third in the other.

The Razorbacks went 5-0, beating Oral Roberts twice before sweeping a three-game set from South Carolina. Arkansas was first in one poll, second in three polls and fourth in the other.

Georgia swept a three-game series from ninth-ranked Florida to move up two spots to third. The Bulldogs were second in two polls, third in two polls and fourth in the other.

Clemson had a 4-1 week and bumped up two places to fourth. The Tigers topped The Citadel twice before winning a series from No. 13 Wake Forest. Clemson was third in one poll, fourth in one, fifth in one, sixth in one and seventh in the other.

Florida State went 2-2 to slide one spot to fifth. The Seminoles lost to Mercer before winning a series at Miami (Fla.). FSU was fourth in two polls and sixth in the other three.

Arizona, Ole Miss, Southern Miss and UC Irvine all entered the CBI Composite Poll, while Louisville, Florida, Stanford and Virginia dropped out.

There are 10 teams from the SEC in this week’s CBI Composite Poll, including nine of the top 13 spots. There are four teams from the ACC and single entries from the Big 10, Big 12, Big West, Conference USA, Sun Belt and independent.
