Colton Bower had a triple, two homers, three runs and three RBI for the Huskies (12-16, 23-29). Payton Brennan went 2 for 4 with a triple for the Bruins (26-2, 46-6).

In Raleigh, N.C., Owen Hull had a two-run homer to highlight a five-run fifth as UNC outscored NCSU in their ACC series opener. Jake Schaffner doubled with two runs and two RBI for the Tar Heels (21-7, 42-9-1). Sherman Johnson had a three-run dinger in the sixth for the Wolfpack (13-15, 31-20).

In Brighton, Mass., Tate McKee tossed seven scoreless innings with a career-best 14 strikeouts as GT shut out BC to begin their ACC set. McKee (8-1) allowed one hit and walked one. Parker Brosius homered twice and knocked in three for the Yellow Jackets (23-5, 43-9). Luke Gallo had the lone hit for the Eagles (17-11, 36-18).

No. 4 Georgia 2, No. 5 Auburn 1 (box score)
In Auburn, Ala., Joey Volchko and Matt Scott combined to hold Auburn to one run as UGA claimed the SEC series opener. Volchko (8-2) allowed three hits and one run with three walks and six strikeouts to earn the win. Scott hurled four scoreless frames with one hit, one walk and six punchouts to record his fourth save. Mason McCraine doubled and scored in the bottom of the first for the Tigers (16-12, 35-17). Daniel Jackson tied the game with a homer in the fifth and Ryan Wynn went deep in the sixth to give the lead to the Bulldogs (22-6, 42-11). UGA won 22 league contests for the first time in program history.

In Austin, Texas, Dylan Volantis fanned 11 over seven innings as UT took the SEC series lid-lifter from Mizzou. Volantis (8-1) allowed two hits, one walk and one run. Sam Cozart fanned the three batters he faced in the ninth to register his eighth save. Casey Borba had a double, a homer and two RBI for the Longhorns (17-10, 38-12). Jase Woita had a double, a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Tigers (6-22, 23-28).

In Corvallis, Ore., Ethan Porter and Josh Proctor had two-run doubles in the third as OSU downed AF to begin their three-game series. Paul Vazquez went 2 for 5 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Beavers (42-11). Tripp Garrish had a two-run dinger for the Falcons (24-25).

In Tallahassee, Fla., FSU trailed 6-1 in the eighth before rallying to edge Miami to kick off their ACC series. John Stuetzer and Brayden Dowd homered in the eighth to pull the Seminoles (18-10, 37-15) within three. Following a Carter McCulley sacrifice fly, Eli Putnam smacked a two-run dinger in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings. Dowd drew a bases-loaded walk in the 11th to give FSU the win. Alonzo Alvarez had a three-run homer in the fourth for the Hurricanes (15-13, 35-16).

In Morgantown, W.Va., Ian Korn and Carson Estridge combined on the shutout as WVU blanked TCU to begin their Big 12 series. Korn (5-0) allowed six hits over six innings with no walks and six strikeouts. Estridge worked the final three frames with one hit and two strikeouts to notch his second save. Matthew Graveline had an RBI double in the second and scored on a sacrifice fly by Brodie Kresser for the Mountaineers (20-8, 36-12). Chase Brunson, Jack Bell and Preston Gamster each had two hits for the Horned Frogs (16-12, 32-19).

In Hattiesburg, Miss., Drey Barrett smacked a grand slam to cap a 10-run second as USM took the Sun Belt series opener with GSU. Barrett finished with three hits and three runs, while Ben Higdon went 2 for 3 with a double, a homer, two runs and three RBI for the Golden Eagles (20-8, 38-14). Grant Jordan was 3 for 3 with one run and one RBI for the visiting Eagles (7-21, 16-38).

In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Alabama scored three in the bottom of the seventh to erase a 3-2 deficit in winning the SEC series opener. Justin Lebron homered and knocked in three, while Bryce Fowler was 3 for 5 with a double, two runs and one RBI for the Crimson Tide (17-11, 36-17). Austin Fawley had two hits and knocked in two for the Rebels (14-14, 35-19).
