In Gainesville, Fla., Wil Dalton went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as UF completed a three-game sweep of VU. Jonathan India (1 for 3, 2 BB, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Keenan Bell (1 for 4) also went deep for the Gators (7-2, 25-5). Ethan Paul had a two-run homer in the third for the Commodores (5-4, 17-11).
No. 8 Kentucky 5, Alabama 2
In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Justin Lewis allowed two runs in 7.1 innings as UK avoided the SEC sweep at Alabama. Lewis (5-2) gave up five hits and two walks while fanning six. Chris Machamer struck out two over the final 1.2 innings with two strikeouts to record his second save. Tristan Pompey and Kole Cottam (3 for 4) both homered for the Wildcats (3-6, 19-9). Chandler Taylor had a two-run dinger in the first for the Crimson Tide (3-6, 18-11).
Missouri 5, No. 12 Auburn 0
In Auburn, Ala., Bryce Montes De Oca and Nile Ball combined on a one-hit shutout as Missouri won its SEC series at Auburn. De Oca (4-1) gave up one hit in six innings with four walks and five strikeouts. Ball had three hitless innings with two walks and four punchouts to register his fourth save. Trey Harris snapped a scoreless tie with a grand slam in the fifth for the visiting Tigers (5-4 21-7). Steven Williams had the lone hit for the home Tigers (4-5, 22-7).
Rice 7, No. 14 Southern Miss 6
In Hattiesburg, Miss., Rice erased a 6-2 deficit with five in the top of the eighth in salvaging the finale of its C-USA series at Southern Miss. Trei Cruz had three hits and one RBI for the Owls (2-7, 12-18). Matt Wallner went 2 for 3 with a grand slam for the Golden Eagles (6-2, 19-7).
No. 16 Duke 16, Notre Dame 4
In Durham, N.C., Duke snapped a 4-4 tie with 12 runs in the bottom of the eighth in completing an ACC series sweep of Notre Dame. The Blue Devils (9-3, 24-5) batted around twice in the eighth, using eight hits, six walks and one hit batsman. Chris Proctor had an RBI single and a three-run triple in the eighth for Duke. Matt Vierling and Daniel Jung (1 for 3, 2 RBI) both homered for the Irish (4-8, 11-16).
