In Omaha, Neb., Sean Wymer finished the game by tossing 4.1 scoreless innings as No. 6 TCU edged No. 7 Louisville 4-3 Thursday evening at TD Ameritrade Park.

The Horned Frogs (49-17) will face No. 3 Florida on Friday evening. TCU will have to beat the Gators on Friday and on Saturday to win the bracket and advance to the championship series. The Cardinals end their year at 53-12.

Wymer (6-4) allowed two hits, did not walk a batter and struck out five.

TCU scored all its runs in the bottom of the second. With two away, Elliott Barzilli singled, stole second, stole third and scored on a double by Connor Wanhanen (2 for 3). Josh Watson was hit by a pitch and he and Wanhanen pulled off a double steal. Omaha native Ryan Merrill delivered a two-run single to push the lead to 3-0. Merrill went to second on the throw and came home on a base hit by Austen Wade to extend the lead to 4-0.

UL started its comeback in the third. Devin Mann (2 for 4) had a leadoff single, was sacrificed to second and scored on a single by Josh Stowers (2 for 4).

Brendan McKay homered to lead off the fourth, making it a 4-2 game. Logan Taylor had his first homer of the season leading off the fifth as the Cards pulled within one at 4-3. UL put the tying run on in both the eighth and ninth, but could plate the equalizer.
