Los Angeles Regional
#2 Baylor 24, #4 Omaha 6 (UNO eliminated)
Cooper Uhl delivered an RBI single in the seventh to snap a 2-2 tie as LMU shocked UCLA to advance to the regional final. Trevin Esquerra had a sacrifice fly in the first for the Lions (34-23). Pries tied it with a homer in the second and a sac fly by Toglia in the third gave the Bruins a 2-1 advantage. Esquerra delivered a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third as LMU tied it at 2-2. Uhl and Nick Sogard both had two hits for the Lions. Nick Frasso tossed two hitless, scoreless innings with one walk and three strikeouts to earn his 10th save. Noah Corderos had two hits for the Bruins (48-9).
In the first game, Shea Langeliers belted three home runs and amassed 11 RBI, a program and NCAA Tournament record, as Baylor eliminated Omaha. The Bears (35-18) scored in every inning but the eighth, with crooked numbers in six frames. Langeliers had a two-run homer in the first, a solo shot in the third, a two-run single in the fourth, a bases-clearing double in the sixth and a three-run dinger in the seventh. Andy Thomas (3 for 5, 4 RBI) and Josh Bissonette (4 for 7, 3 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for BU. Parker Smejkal (2 for 4, 2 R, 3 RBI) homered for the Mavericks (31-24-1).
Stanford Regional
#3 Fresno State 7, #1 Stanford 2
#4 Sacramento State 6, #2 UCSB 4 (UCSB eliminated)
Davis Moore and Oscar Carvajal combined on a four-hitter as FSU downed Stanford to reach the regional final. Moore (10-1) worked 6.2 innings with two hits, one run, three walks and eight strikeouts to record the victory. Carvajal hurled the final 2.1 frames with two hits, one run, two walks and four punchouts. Emilio Nogales (3 for 4, 3 RBI) had a two-run double in the sixth for the Bulldogs (40-14-1) to snap a 1-1 tie. McCarthy Tatum had two hits and two RBI for the victors. Brandon Wulff and Nick Bellafronto both homered for the Cardinal (42-12).
In the opener, Trevor Doyle delivered a two-run double in the bottom of the eighth to break a 4-4 deadlock as SSU eliminated UCSB. Bronson Grubbs had three hits and three RBI for the Hornets (40-24). Austin Roberts (5-4, 3 IP, 3 H, R, BB, K) earned the victory. Thomas Rowan had two hits and scored a run for the Gauchos (45-11).
Greenville Regional
#4 Quinnipiac 5, #1 East Carolina 4
Liam Scafariello ripped a long, two-run homer in the seventh inning, and the combo of Chris Enns and Colin Donnelly quieted East Carolina’s bats as Quinnipiac became the second 4-seed to win an opening game in the 2019 tourney. Enns tossed 6.2 innings with seven hits, three runs (one earned) and six strikeouts, and Donnelly close with two hits, one earned run and three strikeouts over the final 2.1 innings for the Bobcats (30-27), who won their first NCAA tourney game in program history. Evan Vulgamore went 2 for 3 with a triple, homer, run and RBI for Quinnipiac. Bryant Packard went 3 for 5 with a run – and made a clutch leaping catch at the wall in left to rob a homer in the ninth – and Bryson Worrell hit a solo homer to tie the game at 4 for the Pirates (43-16).
Koby Collins ripped a two-run homer as part of a four-run first inning, and Campbell held on to beat NC State in a game that was suspended in the bottom of the ninth inning Friday because of weather and completed Saturday. Michael Horrell worked seven innings with four runs, one earned, and 11 strikeouts, and Landry Moore worked the final inning for the save for the Camels (36-19). Jonny Butler went 1 for 4 with a solo homer and two runs for the Wolfpack (42-18), who allowed five unearned runs.
Athens Regional
#3 Florida State 12, #1 Georgia 3
#2 FAU 10, #4 Mercer 6 (Mercer eliminated)
Tim Becker continued his torrid Regional start by going 2 for 2 with a homer, two runs and three RBI, and Carter Smith and Nander De Sedas added three RBI apiece as Florida State routed Georgia in a winners’ bracket game. Smith went 2 for 4 with a homer and two runs, and De Sedas went 3 for 5 with two runs as the Seminoles (37-21) pounded out 15 hits. Mike Salvatore contributed three hits, including a homer, two runs and two RBI for good measure. CJ Van Eyk allowed three earned runs and struck out nine in eight strong innings for FSU. Tucker Maxwell went 3 for 4 with a solo homer and three runs, and Aaron Schunk had two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs (45-15).
Bobby Morgensen homered twice and drove in five, and Jared DeSanto went 4 for 5 with two runs and an RBI as FAU eliminated Mercer. Jacob Josey allowed four hits and four walks and struck out three in seven scoreless innings for the Owls (41-20), who meet Georgia Sunday. RJ Yeager went 3 for 4 with a run, and Kel Johnson and Collin Price (2 for 4, 2 R) hit solo homers for the Bears (35-29).
Atlanta Regional
#2 Auburn 6, #1 Georgia Tech 5
#3 Coastal Carolina 9, #4 Florida A&M 4 (FAMU eliminated)
Steven Williams hit a game-winning, three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as Auburn stunned Georgia Tech in a winners’ bracket game. The Yellow Jackets led 5-2 entering the ninth, but an error and hit batter got things going for the Tigers. Rankin Worley singled in a run before Williams hit an 0-2 pitch over the wall in right for the win. Tristin English went 3 for 3 with two runs for Tech, which whose Connor Thomas worked 8.2 innings with 11 hits and six runs, only one of which was earned.
Cory Wood went 2 for 3 with three runs and an RBI, and Jake Wright went 2 for 3 with a solo homer and two runs as Coastal Carolina eliminated Florida A&M. Kyle Sheets drove in a pair of runs, and Parker Chavers added a solo homer for the Chants (36-25-1), who face Georgia Tech Sunday. Seyjaun Lawrence went 3 for 4 with a run, and Brett Maxwell went 3 for 4 with an RBI for the Rattlers (27-34).
Baton Rouge Regional
#2 Arizona State 13, #4 Stony Brook 5 (SBU eliminated)
Cade Beloso and Zach Watson each homered and drove in two, and Saul Garza contributed two hits and two RBI as LSU topped Southern Miss in a winners’ bracket game. Daniel Cabrera added two hits and two runs for the Tigers (38-24), who scored seven of their runs in the final four innings, including four after the Golden Eagles (39-19) tied the game at 4 in seventh inning. Matthew Guidry ripped a grand slam for Southern Miss.
Trevor Hauver went 3 for 5 with a triple, two runs and two RBI, and Spencer Torkelson, Alika Williams and Carter Aldrete each added two RBI as Arizona State eliminated Stony Brook. Sam Ferri went 3 for 4 with two runs and an RBI, and Gage Workman contributed three hits and a run as the Sun Devils (38-18) piled up 16 hits. Sean Buckhout had two hits and three RBI for the Seawolves (31-23).
Chapel Hill Regional

#2 Tennessee 10, #4 UNCW 3 (UNCW eliminated)
Ashton McGee homered and knocked in four as UNC clobbered LU to advance to the regional final. Dylan Harris (3 for 5, 2 R) and Brandon Martorano (1 for 4) both homered and drove in three for the Tar Heels (44-17). Gray Betts and Jonathan Embry both had a hit and two walks for the Flames (43-20).
In the early game, Connor Pavolony had a grand slam to cap a five-run eighth as UT eliminated UNCW, ending the coaching career of Mark Scalf. Ricky Martinez went 3 for 4 with three runs and two RBI for the Volunteers (39-20), who won their first NCAA tourney game since 2005. Greg Jones had two hits and three RBI for the Seahawks (32-31).
Corvallis Regional
#3 Michigan 10, #4 Cincinnati 4
#2 Creighton 4, #1 Oregon State 1 (OSU eliminated)
Jimmy Kerr had a two-run homer to spark a five-run sixth as Michigan got past UC to reach the regional final. The Wolverines (43-18) added four insurance runs in the eighth. Blake Nelson went 3 for 4 with two runs and one RBI, while Ako Thomas was 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for UM. Eric Santiago went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI for the Bearcats (31-30).
Evan Johnson and John Sakowski combined on a four-hitter as Creighton eliminated defending national champion OSU. Johnson (9-2) allowed three hits and a run in 5.1 innings with five walks and three strikeouts. Sakowski worked the final 3.2 innings with one hit, one walk and two punchouts to record his third save. Isaac Collins (2 for 5) homered to spark a three-run third for the Bluejays (39-12). Alex McGarry and Zak Taylor both had two hits for the Beavers (36-20-1).
Fayetteville Regional
#4 CCSU 7, #2 California 4 (Cal eliminated)
Isaiah Campbell allowed one run over 8.0 innings as Arkansas edged TCU to move to the regional final. Campbell (11-1) gave up four hits, one walk and one run with eight strikeouts. Matt Cronin retired the side in order in the ninth with one strikeout to record his 12th save. Trevor Ezell went 4 for 5 with three doubles and one RBI, while Casey Opitz drove in two for the Razorbacks (43-17). Nick Lodolo (6-6, 5 IP, 4 H, 1 UE, 4 BB, 6 K) suffered the loss for the Horned Frogs (33-27).
In the day’s opener, Dave Matthews went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and four RBI as CCSU eliminated Cal in earning its first NCAA Tournament win. Tom Curtin (6-3, 7 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K) picked up the win, while Jared Gallagher (2 IP, 3 H, R, K) recorded his 10th save for the Blue Devils (31-22). Korey Lee went deep for the Golden Bears (32-20).
Louisville Regional

Matt Walker went the distance with seven strikeouts as ISU edged UL to move to the regional final. Walker (5-8) gave up six hits, two walks and two runs. Gaines had a pinch-hit two-run double in the sixth to give the Redbirds (36-24) a 4-2 advantage. Joe Aeilts also drove in two for ISU. Jake Snider had two hits for the Cardinals (44-16).
In the first game, Matt Lloyd launched a three-run homer in the sixth to expand on a 4-3 lead as IU eliminated UIC. Grant Richardson went 2 for 4 with a triple, two runs and two RBI for the Hoosiers (37-22). Scott Ota went 1 for 2 with a homer, three walks, two runs and two RBI for the Flames (29-23).
Lubbock Regional
#3 Florida 13, #4 Army 5 (Army eliminated)
Cameron Warren had a two-run homer to spark a three-run second as TTU nipped DBU to advance to the regional final. Taylor Floyd (5-3) tossed 4.1 innings of hitless, scoreless relief with one walk and five strikeouts to earn the victory for the Red Raiders (41-17). Bryce Ball went 2 for 2 with two walks for the Patriots (41-19).
In the first game, Kendrick Calilao went 3 for 3 with a homer and five RBI as UF eliminated Army. Jack Leftwich (6-5) allowed one hit and one run in 7.0 innings with one walk and seven strikeouts for the Gators (34-25). Matt Hudgins knocked in two, while Josh White went deep for the Black Knights (35-26).
Nashville Regional

Infante smacked a two-run double in the second to snap a 1-1 tie and put VU ahead to stay in its win over ISU to advance to the regional final. Paul had his own two-run double to spark a four-run ninth for the Commodores (51-10). Kumar Rocker (9-5, 6.2 IP, 7 H, R, 8 K) earned the win, while Jake Eder recorded the final three outs for his third save. CJ Huntley went 3 for 4 with a homer for the Sycamores (42-17).
In the first game, Ridge Winand had an RBI single in the top of the 13th as OSU outlasted McNeese. Andrew Magno (5-3) fanned 12 in 7.1 innings of relief to earn the victory. Brady Cherry went 3 for 5 with a homer and two RBI for the Buckeyes (36-26). Shane Selman had two hits and knocked in three for the Cowboys (35-26).
Morgantown Regional
#2 Texas A&M 11, #4 Fordham 2 (Fordham eliminated)
Bryce Jarvis tossed 8.0 scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts as Duke blanked WVU to move to the regional final. Jarvis (5-1) allowed six hits and walked one. The Blue Devils (33-25) put up two in the first and third innings. Matt Mervis went 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs. Darius Hill went 3 for 3 with a walk for the Mountaineers (38-21).
In the first game, Hunter Coleman homered twice and knock in five, and his younger brother Ty belted a two-run dinger, as TAMU eliminated Fordham. Asa Lacy (8-4) worked 7.0 innings with three hits, one run, one walk and seven strikeouts for the Aggies (38-22-1). Matt Tarabek had an RBI double in the sixth for the Rams (38-24).
Oklahoma City Regional
#1 Oklahoma State 6, #3 Nebraska 5
#2 UConn 10, #4 Harvard 2 (Harvard eliminated)
Trevor Boone had a three-run homer to cap a four-run ninth as OSU rallied past Nebraska to secure a spot in the regional final. Aaron Palensky belted a three-run dinger in the first and Colby Gomes knocked in two with a base hit in the third as the Huskers (32-23) built a 5-0 lead. Carson McCusker (2 for 5) went deep in the sixth and Bryce Carter delivered an RBI double in the eighth for the Cowboys (38-18). Andrew Navigato had a run-scoring single in the ninth prior to Boone’s blast.
Chris Winkel had two singles and knocked in three in a seven-run second as UConn eliminated Harvard. Michael Woodworth added a two-run triple in the second for the Huskies (37-24). Devan Peterson went 1 for 1 with two walks and an RBI for the Crimson (27-16).
Oxford Regional
#4 Jacksonville State 7, #2 Illinois 5 (Illinois eliminated)
Doug Nikhazy pitched into the ninth with nine strikeouts as Ole Miss downed Clemson to advance to the regional final. Nikhazy (8-3) allowed four hits and a run in 8.0 innings with three walks. Parker Caracci recorded the final three outs to preserve the victory. Cole Zabowski, Cooper Johnson (2 for 5) and Kevin Graham all homered for the Rebels (39-25). Michael Green had two hits for the Tigers (35-25).
JSU scored four in the seventh and three in the eighth to rally past Illinois. Nic Gaddis (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Alex Strachan (1 for 4, 2 RBI) both homered for the Gamecocks (38-22). Kellen Sarver and Jeff Korte (1 for 3, 2 R, 2 RBI) both went deep for the Illini (36-21).
Starkville Regional
#1 Mississippi State 7, #3 Central Michigan 2
#2 Miami 12, #4 Southern 2 (SU eliminated)
Ethan Small struck out 10 in six innings as MSU downed CMU to move to the regional final. Small (9-2) allowed five hits, three walks and two runs. Elijah MacNamee had a two-run double to spark a four-run first for the Bulldogs (48-13). Josh Hatcher (3 for 4) and Rowdey Jordan (2 for 4) also drove in a pair, while Tanner Allen went 4 for 5 with a homer and two runs for MSU. Jason Sullivan (2 for 4) had a two-run homer in the sixth for the Chippewas (47-13), who snapped their 19-game win streak.
In the early game, Alex Toral had two hits and four RBI as UM eliminated SU. Toral had a two-run double to cap a four-run first and a two-run single to spark an eight-run fifth for the Hurricanes (40-19). Javeyan Williams went 3 for 3 with a double and a run for the Jaguars (32-24).
