Florida is the CBI Louisville Slugger Team of the Week

Florida went 3-1 against Top 5 teams and has been named the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Louisville Slugger Team of the Week for games played April 7-13.

The Gators began their week with an 8-0 win at No. 1 Florida State on Tuesday, their third win against the Seminoles this season. Florida traveled to fourth-ranked South Carolina for an SEC series over the weekend. After dropping a 4-1 decision on Friday, the Gators fought back with a pair of one-run wins (4-3 on Saturday, 6-5 on Sunday) to take the series.

Northeast: Saint Joseph’s enjoyed a 4-0 week, winning at Penn in the second round of the Liberty Bell Classic and sweeping a three-game set at Fordham to move into a tie for first place in the Atlantic 10.

Southeast: Georgia Tech went 4-1, defeating Georgia Southern and Savannah State before winning two of three against No. 1 Florida State in ACC action.

Central: Oral Roberts put together a 5-0 week, winning at Oklahoma and defeating Wichita State before sweeping a three-game Southland set at Stephen F. Austin.

West: UC Santa Barbara took two of three from No. 19 Cal State Fullerton in Big West play.

Honorable Mention

Louisville went 4-0 on the road, winning at Purdue before sweeping a three-game American series at No. 9 Houston

Virginia had a 3-1 week winning at James Madison prior to taking two of three from No. 16 Clemson in ACC action.

Texas A&M went 3-1, defeating Prairie View A&M before winning two of three at No. 8 Vanderbilt in SEC play.

Stony Brook put together a 5-0 week, beating Iona and Manhattan before a three-game sweep of Binghamton to climb into first in America East.

Missouri was 3-1, defeating Missouri State before winning two of three at No. 14 Kentucky in the SEC.

Georgia had a 3-1 week, winning at No. 16 Clemson before taking two of three from Tennessee is SEC action.

Massachusetts went 3-1, beating Northeastern in the first round of the Beanpot Tournament before taking two of three from first-place Saint Louis in Atlantic 10 action.

Duke was 3-1, topping NC Central prior to taking two of three from NC State in the ACC.

Morehead State picked up two wins against nationally-ranked opponents, winning at No. 14 Kentucky before taking one of three at Indiana.

Lipscomb went 3-1, winning at UT Martin before taking two of three from Mercer to sit in first in the Atlantic Sun.
