Oregon State
named CBI Team of the Week
 After
going 4-0, including a three-game sweep of fifth-ranked Arizona State, Oregon
State is the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Team of the Week.
The Beavers started the week with an 11-1 win at Portland on
Tuesday. OSU then welcomed the Sun Devils for a three-game Pac-10 set. The
Beavers won 5-3 on Friday, 7-6 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday to improve to 24-7
overall and 5-1 in conference play. OSU moved into first place in the Pac-10
after its first-ever sweep of ASU in Corvallis.
Regional Teams of the Week
Northeast: Delaware won at Lehigh on
Tuesday to reach the championship game of the Liberty Bell Classic before taking
two of three at UNC Wilmington to move into first in the Colonial.
Southeast: Arkansas topped Texas
State before sweeping a three-game SEC set from No. 18 LSU.
Central: Michigan State swept a
three-game set from preseason favorite Minnesota to stay in first in the Big
Ten.
West: No. 13 Cal State Fullerton
beat Pepperdine on Tuesday before taking two of three from UC Irvine in a battle
for the top spot in the Big West.
Honorable Mention
No. 2 Virginia blanked Radford
before winning two of three at No. 12 Georgia Tech in ACC action.
Kent State won at Penn State and
beat Pittsburgh before sweeping a three-game MAC set from Eastern Michigan to
run its win streak to nine.
Kansas State took two of three from
No. 9 Oklahoma in Big 12 play.
No. 10 North Carolina topped
Winthrop before taking two of three at eighth-ranked Florida State in ACC play.
No. 1 Vanderbilt defeated Middle
Tennessee before sweeping a three-game SEC series from Alabama.
Rider won at NJIT before sweeping a
three-game MAAC set at Marist.
Georgia State beat Mercer before
winning two of three at CAA leader James Madison.
Davidson defeated UNC Asheville
before winning its Southern Conference series with UNC Greensboro.
Central Arkansas topped
Arkansas-Pine Bluff prior to taking two of three from Southland leader Texas
State.
Northeastern rebounded from a loss
to Rhode Island to post three straight shutouts against Hofstra in CAA play.
