Mac James (New Braunfels, Texas)
Oklahoma junior catcher/first
baseman
James went 13 for 19 (.684) with three
doubles, a homer, six runs and six RBI in five games last week as the Sooners
went 4-1. Over the weekend against Rutgers, he went 9 for 12, including a
4-for-4 game with three runs and a homer on Sunday.
National Pitcher
Javi Salas (Coral Gables, Fla.)
Miami senior right-hander
Salas turned in a perfect game – the
first since Virginia’s Will Roberts in 2011 and 23rd D-I perfecto overall – in a
17-0 win over Villanova. Salas struck out six for the Hurricanes.

Northeast Player
Jimmy Luppens (Wading River, N.Y.)
Canisius senior first baseman
Luppens helped lead the Golden
Griffins to a four-game sweep at Norfolk Sate, going 10 for 16 with five runs
and 10 RBI. Luppens totaled five hits and seven RBI in Saturday’s doubleheader.
Northeast Pitcher
Bailey Ober (Huntersville, N.C.)
College of Charleston freshman
right-hander
Ober tossed a two-hit shutout with
eight strikeouts for Charleston’s first complete-game shutout since 2014 in
baffling The Citadel. On the year, Ober is 4.0 with a 1.00 ERA and 26 strikeouts
and zero walks in 27 innings.
Southeast Player
Drew Adams (Lula, Ga.)
Lipscomb senior outfielder
Adams batted .389 over five games with
two triples, a homer, four runs and 10 RBI as Lipscomb went 5-0. He leads the
Bison (10-8) with 20 RBI on the year.
Southeast Pitcher
Aaron Nola (Baton Rouge, La.)
LSU junior right-hander
Nola continues to stake his claim as
college baseball’s best pitcher, tossing eight innings of shutout ball with two
hits and 12 strikeouts against Purdue. He hasn’t allowed an earned run in 53
innings dating to last season.
Central Player
Jackson Glines (Coarsegold, Calif.)
Michigan junior outfielder
Glines went 9 for 17 (.529) with five
doubles, a triple, six runs and eight RBI as the Wolverines had a 4-2 week in
Florida. He leads the Wolverines with a .369 average and 12 RBI.
Central Pitcher
Ryan Riga (Fairfield,
Ohio)
Ohio State junior left-hander
Riga was fantastic against Oregon,
tossing a complete-game shutout with five hits, one walk and a career-best 10
strikeouts in a 5-0 win. On the year, the lefty is 2-0 with a 2.49 ERA.
West Player
Brad Anderson (Yorba Linda, Calif.)
Pepperdine sophomore first baseman
Anderson went 8 for 14 (.571) with
three runs and five RBI as the Waves beat UNC Wilmington, USC, UCLA and Houston
in a 4-0 week.
West Pitchers
Jace Fry (Beaverton,
Ore.)
Oregon State junior left-hander
Kolton Mahoney (West Point, Utah)
BYU sophomore right-hander
Fry tossed a no-hitter with 10
strikeouts and two walks as Oregon State blanked Northern Illinois. He’s now 3-0
with a 2.01 ERA on the season. Mahoney fired a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and
two walks in a 5-0 win over Nicholls. He’s now 2-2 with a 2.17 ERA, and
opponents are hitting .122 against him.
