Oct. 1-4, 2009
National champion LSU went to Washington, D.C.,
on Sept. 30. The team has lunch with Senator Mary Landrieu. The
Tigers toured the U.S. Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial and the
World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials. The team had
a reception with Vice President Joe Biden (pictured right) at
the White House. The trip concluded with a tour of Arlington
National Cemetery, including the changing of the guard at the
Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
The fall scrimmage between Baylor and Texas
scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 4, was postponed due to inclement
weather. The game is expected to be rescheduled.
Oregon will hold an intrasquad scrimmage at Vince
Genna Stadium in Bend on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 12-4 p.m., with
gates opening at 11:30 a.m. Following the scrimmage, the Ducks
will host a free clinic and autograph session for kids from 4-5
