Schexnaider earns three-year extension at ULM

ULM head coach Jeff Schexnaider has been given a three-year contract extension, which will run through the 2015 season.

A 1987 graduate of ULM, Schexnaider has led the program for the past six seasons. The Warhawks downed Arkansas State 4-2 in the Sun Belt Championship game this past season, earning the program its first NCAA Tournament berth in 12 years. ULM competed in the Baton Rouge Regional, falling to LSU in the opener before beating Belmont in its second game. The Warhawks lost to Oregon State in the season finale to finish 32-30.

ULM won the Sun Belt regular season crown in 2008, as Schexnaider was named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year.
