Schlossnagle
earns contract extension at TCU
TCU
head coach Jim Schlossnagle recently signed a two-year contract
extension through the 2018 season.
Schlossnagle is entering his 10th season as head
coach of the Horned Frogs. He has posted a record of 388-175
(.689) at TCU and 465-222 (.677) in 11 seasons as a head coach.
Schlossnagle has taken the Horned Frogs to the NCAA Tournament
in each of his first nine years. This past season, TCU reached
the NCAA Super Regionals for the third time in the past four
years. The Horned Frogs have won at least 40 games for six
straight seasons. In 2010, Schlossnagle led TCU to its first
College World Series appearance.
Over the past nine years, TCU has had 38 players
selected in the MLB Draft, 66 all-conference performers, 10
All-Americans and 11 Freshman All-Americans. Matt Purke was 2010
National Freshman of the Year, while Bryan Holaday was the
Johnny Bench Award winner in 2010.
USA Baseball recently named Schlossnagle manager
of the 2013 Collegiate National Team.
