Stein Steps in at Eastern Kentucky 

 

Former Colonel infielder Jason Stein has been named head coach at Eastern Kentucky.

 

Stein played at EKU from 1992-95 and was a two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference selection. He earned a bachelor’s degree in ornamental horticulture from EKU in 1997 and received a master’s degree in sports administration in 1998. He was an assistant coach for the Colonels from 1998-2000.

 

Stein has been an assistant at Belmont the past seven seasons. He replaces Elvis Dominguez, who resigned to become head coach at Bradley.

 

A native of Ashland, Ky., Stein and his wife, Terri, have two children.
